This is true. But lets say for the sake of argument he decided to challenge Ortiz for the belt, what would be his reason? I say this cause he declined the WBA belt against Mosley. If he decided to fight for this belt, it would make him look hypocritical. Personally, I think it's highly unlikely he fights anytime soon.

Seriously? You think Floyd vs. Ortiz is a GOOD fight? :huh What's good about it? Berto had never climbed to the next level despite his being undefeated and with a belt. Berto had the hype, but not the resume to match expectations. I feel this fight said more about Berto than Ortiz. Happy for Ortiz, he showed heart when he needed to, and was the aggressor. Good win. He did his part. Berto fell flat.

Mayweather is on a whole different level than Ortiz.Ortiz is solid and did pull off a big win Saturday and I guess he could have his moments since Mayweather is 34 and basically a part time fighter at this point. But, even then, Mayweather wins comfortably and possibly a late stoppage.

I'd prefer this fight to the talked about Spadafora match up, atleast this one has the potential for some excitement and I think this fight would be easy to make and would do well ratings wise. As a tune up type of fight this one makes a lot of sense. I just don't know if Mayweather is getting in the ring any time soon. If this fight happened, Mayweather by wide decision.

Who else can he fight at 147 besides Pac? Ortiz IMO is the next best thing. Not to mention Ortiz is a GBP fighter and it would be easy to make.

For Ortiz to win this, he has to get outrageously lucky. I only want to see if from his southpaw stance he can land on floyd and if it bothers floyd at all. If he can land a bit more than Mosley and Floyd looks more ordinary, it would be an excellent indication of how he would do against Pac, in my opinion (left handed, hard hitting with both the right hook and the straight left) Ortiz is not ridiculously fast but he's not slow either, and he is a big solid guy at 147 who will have an inch over floyd in height.

Having said that, I don't think he could faze floyd very much. Seeing an old Shane in with Collazo and Estrada and then how Berto did against them was enough for me to know that Berto needed physical dominance in a big way to look impressive, and Ortiz fought smart and took that away from him. Excellent win for Ortiz, who unforutnately might not have a very long reign at the top. Lots of talent, but you can almost see in every tough round him really really really having to psyche himself up to go through his opponents punches. He did this time, and his talent shone through. In Morales' prime, there was no psyching up, that was his real internal instinct.

gimp, cotto can make 147, cintron, collazo and a few others.

ortiz is too young and not ready, he needs time to develop.

Floyd by easy UD, or TKO. Hell break him down mentally, and Ortiz wont be able to respond.

You'll say anything Alok you picked against Berto because he talked **** about your boyfriend Mosley. Cotto fight will be hard to make because of Arum and IMO Cotto is about done. Cintron IMO is a even worse fight. Collazo inactive but if he actually shows up could be interesting. Ortiz out of the list is the best choice other than Cotto.
