Im sure there is, even out here too.. There are some well known gyms that have been closed down in Southern Cali... But when that happens other gyms come up a litle more .... For a while Wild Card gym was a no name gym, now its its known worldwide.

What i meant was there are still black fighters coming out of the East Coast, so obviously their are gyms.

Yeah I saw Cruz, he looks promising. Speaking of Calderon, I remember Ivan saying that Seda was going to be his predecesor and beat Segura. But Seda just lost to Narvaez in Argentina this passed week. So I guess you're right Luis Cruz will be the next Calderon. :good

Cause its all concentrated in one area like a big ass ghetto Island. .. IF PR waa as big as Mexico , i guarantee there would be areas where no one boxed or any gyms.

Its like saying Pomona,Ca Youngstown,OH Pensacola,fl East LA,Ca have all had at least 4 or more world champs in with populations between 90- 150,000.... So per capita they are greater than Puerto Rico..

Does that mean those cities are a more of a boxing powerhouse than PR?

I was being a BoxRec warrior right now while cataloging some fights by date...
While looking thru Sal Sanchez record I noticed a very familiar name on his record.
I know it don't mean **** in terms of great win's, But looks real cool on Chava's record.

    TKO 5 Felix Trinidad Sr.

Sorry my friend but Salvador Sanchez ain't our 'papi',

How many wins against Puerto Ricans had S. Sanchez? no more than 3

How many wins against Mexicans had Gomez ? like 8 (including Zarate by that time had like 50 wins with 0 losses).

Simple math 8>3. Gomez still owned Mexico just like Pac owned all Mexicans.

Segura won 2 times against Calderon- but how many wins had Calderon against Mexicans? more than 10 wins against mexicans.

So basically between Calderon and Gomez- 18 Mexicans were defeated...yep by only two Ricans.

Just by this fact Sanchez ain't our Papi, sorry
