I just finshed watching the Larios fight, the last marquez fight and I still see the same skill set.

He still has that great lateral movement which he displayed against a quick but feather fisted fighter like Larios and he has the same right hook that he used with a quick marquez.

I honestly think he is fighting inferior opposition. Which makes me appreciate how great Morales, Barrera and Marques are and were.

The only difference is that he is much much much stronger and has kept his speed, thus being able to look really good against older and slower guys that he is fighting.

Before Saturday i thought berto would give pacquiao fits because of not just his size but his speed!!! manny does not like speed against him. Ortiz has some good speed and can bang as well. I would love to see pac take on a young lion that has speed and pop such as Khan or ortiz, Instead the man chooses to fight older and slower guys instead of taking on the best challenges ala Mayweather but he has such a great promoter that he makes people belive its acutally a fight.

The Barrera Morales days at the lower weight was really a high for the lower weights. When you can have a very very past his prime morales come back and be competitive against a young figher of this generation who is presumed to be a beast, that should tell you how golden that era was. Marquez is beating up this generatins young men for gods sake and he is 37 only difference is he did not have 3 wars like Barrera and Morales had when they fought each other and took alot out of them.

His style hasnt changed, but all of the fundamentals have improved. I don't know how can you can't see any improvements if you the watched first Marquez fight, it's pretty obvious. His balance is way better, his right hand is better, his defense and ability to counter is better. All the while he's gotten more experienced with each fight, and bc of that his ring intution and ability to see punches is better. But ya, Marquez, Morales and Barerra are great fighters. You couldn't expect Pacquiao to just steam roll through them at that time.

Yes but with more speed and stamina than the slower and older fighters he has been facing.

No i was talking about the second marquez fight. His fundalmental have not really improved. Such as??? Tell me which fundamentals he has improved. The guy is quicker than anybody he is fighting right now and still get's off balance and gets tagged by slower lunging fighters such as margarito. Now could you imagine someone with speed and some pop??Like ortiz, Khan, or any young lion out there who is not washed up???

This. Well said. Pac hasn't changed into some incredibly versatile boxing master or anything, but he's clearly more polished in his style and has added a little more ripples here and there...all while retaining a lot of his speed (though he's definitely lost some foot and handspeed going up in weight as much as he has).

Ortiz, Khan or any other 'young lion' out ther would get their asses handed to them, sorry bro. PAc's perfromance against Margarito was lacking, it was well known b4 the fight that he had a horrible training camp and didn't seem focused. Marg still barely landed anything except a few uppercuts and body shots. He also towered over Pacquiao with 17 lb weight advantage and over 5 inches in reach.

Okay you said Pac hasn't improves since the Larios fight. That's ridiculous. He's obviously gotten better, his right hand has improved consistently year after year. His balance and footwork is better. He used to throw himself off balance and cross his feet up all the time, he doesn't do that nearly as much anymore. He cuts the ring off now, and give his opponents different angles, rather then walking in a straight line. His combination punching has gotten way better. He throws 5-6 punches combo's now, effectively. His punches are sharper, and less wild. I could go on and on. Yeah Barrera Morales and Marquez were his best opponents, that doesn't mean he hasn't gotten better though. It's easy to say his opponents have been slow, but Hatton isn't slow , Cotto isn't slow. Give credit where credit is due.

I honestly dont see an improvement. I'm not trying to be biased here but i dont. I'm not professional fighter but when i spar against fighters that are slightly better than me i get off balance and look like i throw wild punches.

When i spar against others that are not more advanced then me i put everthing together and dont' get wild or get of balance and put my combos together really well and with speed. He has just gotten alot stronger that is pretty much it.
