    Please feel free to add more names to the list, since I know I will miss people here.

    1. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. -- welterweight ==> 41-0 (25)
    2. Andre Ward -- super-middleweight =====> 23-0 (13)
    3. Timothy Bradley -- junior welterweight ==> 27-0 (11)
    4. Mike Jones -- welterweight ==========> 24-0 (Eighteen)

    The list has shrunk recently, with fighters such as Andre Berto and Chad Dawson suffering their first defeats. Ditto Devon Alexander and James Kirkland.

    Of course, there are certain to be plenty of guys (I think) from the USA with records like 12-0 and thereabouts. I'm just trying to go over some of the more well-known figures in current American boxing.

    Two observations:

    * American boxing isn't what it used to be. It's a global game now, and honestly, there are better opportunities (inside and outside of sports) for many would-be American prospects

    * Most boxers end up losing at one time or another. And they can still come back and be great fighters. See: Pacquiao, Manny

    In boxing undefeated fighters are generally untested fighters. This young crop of American fighters (Williams, Berto, Dawson) all began fighting premier competition, and when you fight the best, or at least the very good, the chances of suffering a defeat rise dramatically.

    I like Mike Jones, though IMO he looks pretty big. He might be a JMW or even MW as he gets older.

    I don't see any of those guys keeping that 0 except Mayweather. There's no one in the game that has a legitimate shot at beating Mayweather other than Pac, and that's slimmer than some believe. Haven't seen Broner fight.
