Or couldn't just be that they LEGITIMATELY believe that both Berto and Ortiz are better than Shane currently.

I mean aren't you the guys who are saying Shane is going to be killed against Manny and the fight is a farce?

But more importantly you are being stupid if you believe DLH has control over all the writers and editors of Ring. I can assure you he doesn't.

According to a Ring writer in their latest issue, Floyd will be dropped from the rankings altogether if he doesn't announce a fight by May 1.

If Floyd does announce a fight, he will stay #2 and the Ring championship will be on the line if he and Pac fight.

If he stays retired then I guess Pac could only win the ring belt by beating Ortiz, which would just be an absolute joke. ****ing Floyd

As he should with a win over Berto. Why wouldn't he? Shane Mosley has only had 1 win at Welterweight since 2007, and it was over 2 years ago.

Is it written in black and white that a Ring belt can only be won by beating the number 2 or 3 though? It's ridiculous that Pac would have to beat Ortiz for it. You'd think the common sense thing to do would be for Manny to be promoted to Ring Champ once Floyd is dropped from the rankings. Anyone know for sure if this is possible or not?

When this doesn't happen Cesar I am going to be your "BFF" because I am one of the few guys on here with OBJECTIVITY.

Every ***** and non ***** alike is going to use this to say now PBF has the negotiating edge, Pac was hype, BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Not true at all. Shane will be competitive at points with Pac and will go the distance.

The fight will look nothing like the following fights:

    Pac vs DLH
    Pac vs Hatton
    Pac vs Clottey
    Pac vs Cotto
    Pac vs Margo

Shane has enough left in the tank physically and he is experienced enough to even compete with Pac at this point. I don't think about him winning or even knocking down Pac. He just won't be overwhelmed by him.

Pac's skill set at this stage of Shane's career won't produce that. You watch and see.

And be looking for me in the future defending you and the rest of the Pac fans.

I'm not sure. I can't stop laughing at this idea you brought up though:

If he stays retired then I guess Pac could only win the ring belt by beating Ortiz, which would just be an absolute joke. ****ing Floyd

He will have to beat #2 or #3. Same thing happened to Wladimir Klitschko. He sat at #1 without being given champ status for a LONG time. This was after he had already beat Peter who was highly ranked.... then beat #1 Chris Byrd... but Ring lagged in promoting Wlad's status after beating Peter, So, Wlad had #1... then a short time later Peter (who Wlad just beat) was sitting at #2. Yet, Wlad still wasn't given Champion status until he beat Chagaev, #3.

Actually, I think it is written that you can only win their belt by beating the champion or with no champion in place, number one and number two (or in special circumstances numbers 1 & 3) must fight to create a new lineage. The way I understand it, anyway.

for the record I still think Berto is better than Ortiz and I don't give a **** if Ortiz beat him I still rank Berto ahead of Ortiz. Ortiz might have been better ON THE NIGHT but that doesn't mean he's better overall.

    :deal

if they rematch Berto will win but it's a close fight which is why Ortiz has earned himself a top 5 spot

Nothing wrong with that as long as you still don't have Berto above Ortiz in an "OFFICIAL" welter ranking of yours.

Because what you think doesn't matter as much as what has actually taken place. Which is Ortiz defeated Berto.

Now if Berto defeats him in a rematch then you can pat yourself on the back and then move him back ahead of Ortiz.

No he won't, unless he has a new team around him and can get revamped very fast.
