Yes he was a physical specimen, I never told that plyo increase your boxing skills. But Pacquiao 's physical attribute would be maximize had he did this kind of training before. Plyo increase power, stamina and speed, according to experts.
I am sure it helped, but Pac was already a specimen. Plyo is not going to make supermen, it can just help you reach your own personal potential. And explosiveness and stamina Pac has always had in spades.
right, pacquiao doesn't use angles, a hit and away rhythm is not boxing, and pacquiao didnt throw any counterpunches in any of these fights smh
Yes I know explosiveness and stamina Pac has always had in spades, but plyo will maximize it for Pacquiao had he did this before.
POUND FOR POUND Pac's SPEED, STAMINA, and POWER have all gone DOWN since he is 24 year old. He had a slight dip at 130 cause he wasn't well adjusted and then improved but that's it. look at his SPEED, STAMINA, and POWER at 122-126. It's more than today Pac has 10 wins, 10 knockouts at 122. Decked Barrera and Marquez more than I can count at 126.
I think his stamina is still the same. He facing larger fighters so more it gets used up. If he was fighting at 140lb, he couldn't be touched IMO.
Everyone throws counter punches fool! Everyone, including slow as molasses margo throws counter punches. When Margo fires an uppercut to the body as his opponent throws up top, that is a counter punch. Manny's foot work is only text book and sound when he is coming forward. When he is moving away Manny's foot work is TECHNICALLY WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! This is a fact. You do not want skip around the ring the way Pac does, Cotto does, and even Shane did as he got older with your feet parallel together. You are off balance and you can't punch with leverage. You are also giving up a large target to your opponent. Take your noob BS somewhere else.
I agree, didn't say it did not. Like you said, it won't have the same benefit as a targeted cardio program however. Plyo increases muscle stamina moreso than overall stamina.
they allow you to make triangles that have at least two sides in equal length and then you can also mesure that length in the international system.
Isometrics increases strength, but more static strength. It would not necessarily increase something such as say punching power significantly. Isometric describes the type of contraction one would get when the resistance is immovable.
Iso is going to create functional strength. It is not going to build pretty muscle. So a guy like Rios who will never look like an Adonis would benefit from Iso training but you wouldn't see the results in him being all ripped like a weight lifter.
isnt this the same type of training Bruce Lee used to do...you know that whole one inch punch thing that could knock a dude clear cross the room....i think there is video of it too.
