Other than jabbing was is the big idea.
Hes not going to change anything just improve it.

We all know he could improve his defense, he could jab..has he used to do, and avoid the looping right hand.

thats not a whole 360 from what JML is now.

Exactly like Dustaine said. Thats something JuanMa has never really shown.
He is popular because of his Power and lack of defense which makes him vulnerable. His power has always gotten him out of tight spots. He hit Salido with some really solid shots and Salido only ever seemed fazed once and that was because he was coming in wild after having hurt Lopez.
Not to mention for once a fighter looked bigger than JML.

His jab is key and thats why i thought he would win. He would box from a distance. Its still possible but he has to fight a very disciplined safety first fight. JML likes to bang. Salido is probably not the smartest guy to go to war with.

You are assuming Juanma is a better fighter than what we saw Saturday night. I'm saying he isn't.

Thats my point. JML has already witness how/what Salido does. He knows he can't fight him. He will come into the 2nd fight prepared to jab, prepared to counter/watch Salido's looping right hand and win the fight gradually. Not try to knock him out.

IF Lopez can maintain his endurance for 12 Rds and not get knocked out trying, He has a good chance.

IF not, Same **** different toilet.

Yes. Thats what i'm saying. I have a feeling we'll see a very focused JML next time. Theres alot riding on the rematch..including his career.

I'll agree to that, but I'll add:
IF Lopez can maintain his endurance and box for 12 Rds and not get knocked out trying, He has a good chance.

If he does that the its his fight to lose.

See look at all the things he has to do different.

    Jab
    Move and or clinch
    avoid a war
    better stamina
    tighter defense

Thats alot man. Thats the reason we liked to watch JuanMa because he didnt do all those things making it a risky fighter at all times.

He can do it. It won't be perfect but he can. He has all the motivation in the world to do so

I like Lopez coming back in August but it should be a safer opponent and then the Salido rematch in Dec like originally planned. Give Lopez an easier fight this summer while Salido makes a safe defense at home around the same time then let them rematch at the end of the year. This is quick for Lopez to be getting back in with Salido after his first loss.

I think Lopez is better than Salido and I think Lopez just wasn't on top of his game the first time. I don't neccesarily buy into the talk of outside distractions and such, just sometimes boxers(like all athletes) have nights where they aren't performing at 100%. If thats the case Lopez should win the rematch but if it was all Salido making Lopez look off then Salido wins the rematch. Thats part of what makes a rematch interesting.

In the meantime i would like Rafa to face Salido or Gonzalez so he can pick up a title. Not to mention it sux for RAfa since he was already planning on a big payday with the JML rematch.
