Two men from different neck of the woods yet both share the same burning desire to become Champion of the World. For one this is more then just a fight with a rival foe but a night of redemption a year on after the heartbreak in losing not only his undefeated record but losing in his own backyard before his people.

For the other this is the final stop before reaching the promise land of the world scene, One fight away from the big names and the titles he's dreamed of having for so long but from within he knows this fights more then just a stepping stone but also to end a war of words and silence the critics.

Who will win this Battle of Britain?

It's make or break for either man.

    Cool thread Mand :good

I fancy mitchell with sharp boxing to break down murrey for a points win, not really feeling the stoppage at this moment in time

Hope you can handle this, Laz (even though he an unrepentant Khan nuthugger) set the gold standard for build up threads.

If they promote this as a Man City v West Ham battle it will draw to many non boxing fans in which will cause no end of **** like they did at the Mitchell v Katsidis fight...:-(

Murray will need to up his game from his last outing v Mitchell if he is to be victorious...:yep

Dunno. I want Mitchell to win, but think Murray is too big and too strong at 135 and I think Kev's lack of fight time since Katsidis is worrying.

So I'm going for a Mitchell UD :yep

    Murray would stop him.

He's bigger, stronger, and more skilled too. Mitchell can't box - he's a gunslinger which bodes well for John in this matchup.
