I love watching Qawi stand at close or mid range in front of a guy about half a foot taller than him, and repeatedly make him miss.

Yeah, the guy's head movement was ridiculous, especially at light heavyweight. Hard to believe that he accomplished as much as he did without an amateur career, and that he progressed from contender to champion within 20 fights as a pro.

The flurry that he avoided by Holyfield was insane to watch

Sparring with Jim Scott in Rahway for several yrs on a weekly basis is an amateur career in my book....
    :yep
Qawi later schooled Scott over 10 rds in 1980 on NBC TV...:bbb

he was an awsome fighter. Not even 5'6 but he was as imposing as a man a foot taller. He had a deceptive reach also and was always in a position to make his opponents pay. Cagey as any fighter ive seen.

I think its amazing how a man smaller than tim bradley is able to compete at light heavyweight and cruiser, he event went 7 rounds with big george. really impressive for me.
