Al Hamidi didn't have mad boxing skills

I see this fight going either way. Both fighters are euro level at best IMO

It was not a past it Carl Johanesson.

You were saying how Mitchell was not in the class of Katsidis, how he didnt belong there. My point is Murrays is not in the class of Katsidis either.

Sorry dude, Carl was past it. He'd not been training the way he used to, he'd even bottled the fight originally because he'd been so slack in the gym. Mitchell was getting battered at one point before coming back strongly as Carl gassed a bit.

Carl wasn't shot, but he wasn't the fighter he'd once been.

Ok but I still don't see much better on Murrays record.

You’re right there – John’s two biggest wins are over faded guys too in Meager and Thaxton. I guess the difference is that Murray absolutely battered them both. He looked particularly sharp in the Thaxton fight.

It’s the Mcallister fight that makes me think Murray win. Lee’s a decent mover and can box elusively, but other than the early rounds, Murray had little trouble finding him.

I don’t think Mitchell’s as elusive or fleet-footed as Mcallister. He’s there to be hit, especially when he opens up. And he’s still inaccurate with his shots, leaving plenty of space for a more compact puncher to land on him.

But Mitchell does have faster hands than Murray. Maybe his strategy will be to stick and move like he did against Prescott. Murray is definitely a plodder, but there are little things he does: he cuts off the ring better than his opponents expect and he’s got good timing. He also steps around his opponent to get angles when he fires in combinations. In this fight, he’ll also be the bigger man. Mitchell is a tiny little lightweight.

Either way, I see a close fight. If anyone’s scoring a KO, it’s going to be Murray. Mitchell might win on points, due to building an early lead, but I can’t see him dominating this fight.

Mitchell is taking a step down in class to fight Murray. Murray is taking a step up. Why people are so confident of a Murray win I dont no. Yes Kev got battered in his last fight, but John Murray isnt Michael Katsidis, not by a long way!

Sweet - two young, hungry dudes, same nationality both seeing this as a make or break fight and looking to make a statement. This is what boxing is supposed to be about, not PPV figures or contract demands

Fair play to both for signing up and fair play to Warren for making it

    BUT! PPV NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
