Would Froch do business with Warren ?

Froch claiming free agent status now though over on the scene Hennessy stating that its in the hands of his lawyers, hope it doesn't get messy. Froch has had a few choice words to say about Warren in the past but Frank has never been one to let business get in the way of personal stuff which is why he is the best promoter in Britian. I just think it would be a good move for Froch to align himself with a british promoter for the rest of the super 6. Never liked the idea of fighters going it alone. Everything gets compromised, quality of sparring, leverage in negotiation ( though he can't be any worse than Mick at that ). Some fighters don't realise the work involved. Whatever about DiBella who seems straight enough, wouldn't surprise me too see Goosen the rat that he is totally screw the inexperienced Froch over if he faced Ward. Warren has the sky backing and is a big player.

 

DiBella wouldn't be a terrible choice. I'd imagine he would have good knowledge of working with TV networks given his history.

Nothing to gain. Warren is a fantastic promoter at bringing people along up to world level. If you are already there it doesn't really make much sense.

 

DiBella would treat him well, a lot better than Hennessey anyway. Imagine him at Top Rank though, some of the bills he could be on would be brilliant

 

Warren has Sky in his pocket. Froch cant get on mainstream uk tv.

 

There's no point in having a British promoter. As mentioned above Warren is great at getting a guy to world level, but Froch has been there for three years now and been in some great fights.

Would be disappointing to see him come out of the Super Six and fight the likes of Stieglitz rather than Pascal, Bute etc.

He'll sign with someone over there or essentially become a free agent and fight on the shows of various promoters, collecting a fee. British TV money would probably come from Crimetime.

I don't why he should go to DiBella, he's got Martinez and hasn't really promoted him that well since the Pavlik win.

I don't see why Froch can't stay a free agent and work with promoters on a fight by fight basis. So if he wants a homecoming at some stage he can link up with Frank for that who'd get a top undercard sorted.

 

Warren does not have "SKY in his pocket", he has a good relationship with them however that doesn't suddenly mean that all issues with Froch getting on SKY would vanish and whatever Frank demands suddenly become PPV.

The problem is nothing to do with Froch, more to do with the fact he's fighting in the US. Any British fighter other than Haye will find the same issues.

 

Toprank don't have any other 168 fighters do they? not top tier ones anyway.

 

If he fights in the UK it will be Matchroom. In the US i reckon DiBella will represent him. He will want to be with people he trusts.

Froch doesn't really need to be promoted. He sells out Nottingham without much effort, and if he will be on Sky from now on which means his fights will get heavy promotion on Sky Sports News.

At the end of the day he doesn't need a promoter just a decent laywer and a team behind him that can put together an undercard and take care of the BS without ****ing it up like Khans family.

 

Why not just sign with Goldenboy then?

 

theres no reason to sign with a promoter that could either stop him fighting certain people, force him to fight others or take a large cut of his revenue.

Warren will have him defending agaisnt Peter Menfredo ffs.

Win or lose the Super 6 final Frochs options are unlimited.

If he wins he walks into a mega fight with the Bute vs Kessler winner and then theres 3-4 more 7 figure pay days between 168-175. As long as he is competative with Ward he has a style thats attractive enough for HBO/Showtime to want to put him on, and he is beatable enough for promoters to want to put there fighters in with him.

Froch can have at least 3 £1million pay days after the Super Six before calling it a day.
