No doubt this is a fight for the future and something that we just may see within the next year.
At 140 I think its safe to say Khans got this, but how do you think this fight will pan out at 147?

Ortiz will catch him eventually. He's as powerful as Maidana but he has more skill than Maidana.

Its crazy a few weeks ago, many would have a fight with ortiz as a 'tune up' bout or a fight with nt much to deal with. However that fight with berto has 360'd his whole career, and now he cant really be doubted and is well in his right to fight all the big names and potentially beat most of them.

Everyone knew he had ability and power but when a dude quits like he did against Maidana it's like the biggest sin in boxing. You can't get away with lacking heart in boxing.

He proved against Berto he does have heart so he's back where he was before Maidana.

Ortiz because he is a southpaw,is powerfull and more accurate then maidana.
I think berto stops khan as well, mayweather ud's him or late tko and pac knocks him out. Khan has a good shot at bradley and he could very well win but when he moves up he will be in danger.

Here we go ortiz is flavour of the month. He beat a very overated berto and quit against a fighter who has loses to kotelnik and khan. Khan has already owned ortiz in the amateurs and no doubt would break ortiz heart in the pro's. I like ortiz and it will be interesting to see who he calls out but i have a feeling he will want no part of khan after there previous meeting. Styles make fights and khans style is to much for ortiz. Dont be suprised to see ortiz vs alexander or ortiz vs maidana 2.

I agree with you with the flavour of the month thing. This happens alot and has recently with Martinez and Donaire becoming unbeatable monsters overnight.

However it's different with Ortiz because this fight proved that he has what everybody thought he didn't have which is heart. That makes Ortiz a whole different beast.

It's hard to make a case for Ortiz. Khan has already beaten once him with ease and Khan has also beaten a man who beat Ortiz by making him quit. Plus, Khan's chin is much stronger than it used to be

I would have to agree with this! IF you were to compare Ortiz from 140 and now 147 IF Khan made the same improvements imagine what he would be like then! Berto lost that fight because he tried to fight on the inside some thing Khan probably wont do again after Maidana.

As DaveUK Pointed out Amir khan already beat Ortiz in the amateurs and not just beat he stopped him. Sadly ortiz even in the amateurs chose to quit in a number of fights this was documented recently in an interview with his former trainer robert garcia of oxnard ca. I think andre berto got exposed the only notable top tier fighters he faced were all on the down urango, quintana, and callazo who in my opinion deserves at least a rematch. berto fought some good pros they just werent top drawer. so ortiz looked good against a fighter who never truly proved himself as a star but as a boxer i respect him and hope he achieves what we wants but if he faces khan he wont win.
