    Ortiz.

    Why?

Because someone with the nickname 'Vicious' is Khan worse nightmare.

    Ortiz by KO in 6.

How many examples do we need to see before we realize the Professional ranks are an entirely different beast than the Amateurs? Otherwise, Cuban fighters would own the P4P ranks.

ortiz by ko on this one.

I like his defence, and he's got enough speed and power to KO Khan.

It depends which ortiz turns up.

If crazy Ortiz turns up like last weekend then Khan has no chance.

Amatuers and the pro's are two different things I recall the man who beat cotto fighting him in the pro's and getting stopped not saying khan woulld but don't use that he did it in the amatuers reason because that don't mean anythin

people say that alot butt mainly they refer to the points scored system more pugilistic but to say that amateur and pro are far apart is just not true. although in the pro game you are not as protected with regards to heavy stoppages etc

Khan on Victor Ortiz (about a year ago)

"Hes a good explosive fighter but,at the minute,I think hes a notch below myself,Bradley and Alexander.
When we met in the Amateurs in Louisiana we were both just 17.He was a real big name, had been unbeaten for a very long time and a lot of guys were pulling out from fighting him.
All the Americans told me I would get beat but I really took him apart - Beat him to the punch and overpowered him. After two rounds,he stayed on his stool and couldnt take anymore.
Ive got his number and he knows that.
Hes also quit against Maidana so that confirms hes not strong mentally.
I would stand and fight with him, destroy him mentally and probably stop him".

it is a lot different, checkout the cubans as examples, yan barthelamy was an olympic superstar yet he sucks at pro, the point scoring system is a BIG deal, fighters throw pitter patter punches to score then hold, knockdowns dont count and when a flush shot lands its a standing 8 count.

Who exactly has Amir Kahn dismantled or knocked out that makes people think he would overpower Ortiz? Yes he beat Maidana and knocked him down once with a body shot. After that Maidana took all of Kahn's punches and kept coming forward. Kahn was actually more damaged than Maidana was at the end of the fight. Ortiz knocked down Maidana 3 times in his fight and yes he made the mistake of quitting, but he has redeemed himself now. Ortiz has the same if not more power than Maidana. He is faster and more accurate than Maidana, so Kahn would get his rightfully questioned chin broken.
