Victor Ortiz didn't prove a damn thing against Berto...

LOL at all this talk that Ortiz finally answered his critics and erased the stigma from the Maidana fight. In Berto he fought a sloppy guy, who kept acting like a ***** complaining about rabbit punches, and who spent the majority of the fight on the ropes, with no legs. And he still managed to put ortiz on his ass twice.

Maidana on the other hand kept coming and was applyin relentless pressure and that's what made Ortiz quit. We don't know how Ortiz is under pressure because Berto's ***** ass didn't apply any. Berto fought like a ***** and lost. He was looking for his corner to save him. We still don't know how Ortiz would do against an aggresive opponent with a will win and therefore questions about his heart still remain.:hat

Not hating ******. Just calling it like I see it. I mean it was an exciting fight for boxing fans, but it didn't prove anything. He didn't have to dig deep. He was dominating Berto and just got caught being reckless. The first KD didn't even really hurt him, he was just off balance.

He proved a lot. He proved that he did have heart after quiting against Maidana.

He's not a nobody. He's a B fighter with questionable heart. Good talent though, but he needs to refine his skills more if he wants to get to the B+ level.

If you are seriously adament that Ortiz proved nothing, you're hideously stupid. He's not stylistically improved, but if you think that nothing was proved you're an idiot.

I disagree. Berto didn't even come close to putting the kind of pressure on him that Maidana did. Other than those 2 KD's one of which was a flash, Ortiz dominated the fight from start to finish.

He didn't quit this time. The referee was closing in to stop the fight but ortiz kept fighting and scored a knockdown to even the round. Ortiz was hurt in that round 6.
