Primetime will become the home of boxing for the U.K

    with oscar saying what he did in the press conference about how thankful he was to primetime for stepping in for khan and showing the fight, and the fact that he later said that they will get together and talk about the future. He openly stated that sky made a mistake and they probably have, if they didn't want khan vs mckloskey on PPV they should have said it from the begining and not a week before the fight.

    i can see primetime getting at least a 12 month contract to show golden boy fights in the U.K. for golden boy it would be a good move as they will have fixed income from the U.K wheras at the moment SKY can pick and choose which events they want. example is this past week where golden boy had the fight of the year and it wasn't picked up by SKY, in the future this will never happen.

    setanta got a similar deal to this with top rank where if a top rank fighter was fighting it was on their network, the only time when this was not the case is if the other fighter already had a deal with another U.K if orts network.

    if primetime offered the golden boy shows for £15 i can't see them doing too well but if they market them properly and offer value for money then it should be a good business move for both sides and SKY will be the big loser.

    Hasn't Oscar been saying that Golden Boy would have a base in the UK with the O2 for the last few years aswell...:deal

    Oscar says allot of things but he is jsut a figure head. Do you think a smart guy like Schaefer is gonna cut ties with one of the most powerful media networks in the world because they turned down Sky!

    I like to think that Golden Boy are not a bunch of idiots. Primetime is nowhere near becoming the home of boxing!

    Primetime need to start supporting HD Broadcasting before anything else.

    HD is really getting ahead of things. Get the contracts and content in place before worrying about stuff like that.

    in today's market I think the customer has a right to expect HD when paying £15 for a PPV which is shot in HD by the host broadcaster.

    You could watch, if you wanted, Haye vs Harrison in super-dooper 3D but it was still a **** fight. Fans only really care about good value for money, should it be PPV, and not the latest technology.

    Lol @ OP.

    As for HD, Primetime are using graphics that look 15 years old so expect them to adopt the HD revolution in about 10 years.
