Vitaly Klitschko is the most overrated heavyweight in history.

I have this terrifying feeling when it's all said and done, people are going to be ranking him top 10.

Let's sum up Vitaly. or at least what I know about him:

vs Lewis: Lewis was either shot, or fought like he was, so it's one and the same. He was overweight and on his last legs, and it was Vitaly that was draped all over him and eating shots at the end of the 6th. Great heavyweights beat the old great heavyweight. He didn't

vs Byrd: 2nd best fighter he ever fought and he quit against him. GJ

vs Peter: We've learned just how limited Peter is, haven't we. This is a guy that's been riding a ko of jeremy williams :)lol:) for the decade

    vs Arreola:

vs Corrie Sanders: the guy that used to get knocked dead in his prime by old tyson sparring partners? credit to him for shellshocking wlad. but it does not make him anything but an old fighter who was never that good who went for broke against a guy who couldn't get out of the way

vs The Other Best Heavy of His Garbage era: oh that's right, he can't fight him, it's his damn brother. I can hold this against him. Watch me

I'm not too high on Haye either. Although he's the best out there other than the Klits.

He hasn't done all that much. But he'd be a good opponent for a heavyweight champ. Whenever there is a champ again.

Yes it's outrageous how a fighter can lose about 5 rounds in his career and still be considered an ATG.

You should only qualify for ATG status if you never lose a single round!

Listen up douche bag, Wladimir Klitschko is the real, universally recognized Heavyweight Champion of the World. You are merely a loser who hasn't accomplished anything close.

Oh, and **** off newbie. :hi:

How is Wladimir the linear heavyweight champ? Is it just like a "**** this guy beat a ton of contenders, let's crown him" thing?

And I rank Wlad alot higher than I do Vitaly. Wlad is hell on legs for any boxer who lacks the pop to scare him.

    Same old bull****.

Vitaly's competetion is weak, but its not THAT weak, and he has statistical greatness- knock out percentage, never been down, most punches thown in a heavyweight title fight (Kingpin Johnson), never behind on the cards.

As for you degredation of Vitaly's opponent's, they are what they are- not great figthers but not as bad as you say.

Lets Give Vitaly the benefit of finishing out his career, please. If he can find a couple of impressive names somehow, that would settle it. If not, then its always going to be down to whether you look at opponents or statisctics, and that is largely a matter of oppinion and consensus. If enough people agree that he is great, than he will eventually be universally accepted as such. If they do not, then he will not.

POST SCRIPT: I am obviosuly pulling for the guy, and make no bones about that.
