I guess your right to some extent, but part of it was just cockiness, the whole 'shut up/listen to the champ' with that grin was no good. But to be fair, it was entertaining  Imagine a floyd/khan press conference :nut

lol nobody could compete with Floyd at trash talking. Who knows give Khan a couple of more years maybe he can improve in that department, maybe get some tips from Naz

They didn't expect Khan to say or act like that so they just carried on talking ****, him saying what he did worked perfectly and he has come off looking better

    1) Both Khan and McCloskey are a bit annoying
    2) Khan was winning easily
    3) Making someone miss and doing nothing to capitalise counts for nothing.
    4) Missing and looking amateurish doesn't matter if you are the only one landing.
    5) McCloskey was negative because Khan's speed nullified his intention to counter.
    6) McCloskey may have himself to blame to some extent for the terrible stoppage. I think the doctor would have had a harder time calling it off so quickly if Paul hadn't just lost 6 clear rounds in a row.
    7) McCloskey doesn't deserve a rematch - he did not put on a performance that would merit one regardless of the ending
8 ) I was impressed with McCloskey's defence, against well matched opponents style-wise I think he could do well above European level.

Firstly, no one owes anyone a living and please try and stick to the debate and avoid the racist remarks, it just makes you look ignorant and no one is going to take the bait to dignify it with a similar response.

As for the Leisue Centre comments, you've clearly ignored the fact that he's had fights in Ireland in the old Point, the 02, the Kings Hall, the stadium and the UL Arena, your comments allude to the myth that he's made a career fighting in Irish centres, you've also ignored that he's fought live on RTE and Sky.

Did Khan win each round- yes
Would he have gone on to win- we will never know, my own opinion is yes

Was McCloskey given a fair opportunity to win a world title - no, and this is the crux of the issue, your comments regarding McCloskey's cautiousness are noted but he was never given a fair opporunity to take the title, he was admittedly given half an opportunity but there were 6 rounds left, he was fairly relaxed and comfortable (albeit behind), but he was never afforded the opportunity to implement his plan to get a late stoppage... for that reason he deserves a re-match, Khan says he gave McCloskey an opportunity and he did, but that opportunity was unfairly snatched away from him after 6 rounds, even De La Hoya acknowledged that he deserves a rematch

right ive only got back from liverpool/manchester from being at the fight only got to watch it back there now

i agree that khan would of won the fight but ****inell the way it was stopped was a disgrace in my eyes a fella works his ass off for a world title shot and gets ripped away over a nothing cut ive seen tons worse than that (hattons cuts for exsample) and its the first time in my life ive seen the doctor come in through the ropes whats that about......

as for the post press conference i understand why people dislike khan hes an arrogant *****!

anyway roll on july or august for the unification bout with bradley hope desert storm fucs him up!

Yes. Amir is always the arrogant *****.

Team McCloskey did nothing to ignite his temper. Laughing and saying he won't unify the titles, saying Amir isn't that good and will come short against Top Opposition when their boy lost all six rounds and then to DEMAND a rematch on what was a voluntary defence. Yep, there's nothing wrong with that.

And his trainer, John Breen, the twat, who kept interrupting Amir saying he was tired and saying Paul would have knocking him out late was fine as well.

i sort of get where they are comming from directly after the fight the way it was stopped to demand a rematch with them being heat up at the time.... a rematch would be pointless tho. im mostly sickend in the manor it was stopped

but khan pisses me off with his arrogance to the media heres a quote well from Amir "Have You Ever Boxed.... No So Shut Up"

    I'm not referring to McCloskey...

You mean, Team McCloskey were bitter if anything.

Yes, of course. He has to be

Amir was in the heat of a debate. He was getting answered back. It was just as bad from McCloskey's side. I don't care if you're critical of Amir, but realise that Amir was getting his ear done in by a bitter team. I'm surprised if he didn't say a lot more, to be fair. And you could see the expression on his face after he said that. He knew he shouldn't have said it. No one's perfect. I don't see it as arrogance at all.

Yep, but unfortunately, we've got the Haye/Klitschko wheel coming up now, so no breaks from countless threads on stupid topics.
