Just to this up above Jerk Off Jack's 'Jack come lately' thread.

 

So is Mares vs. whoever going to be considered the tournament final, or is he going to settle the matter via a rescheduled date with Agbeko win lose or draw? :huh

 

Good question. They sound like they are scrambling just to try and salvage the event. They simplified to this format because of the SMW problems and then this happens.

 

Yeah, as soon as I was praising how this tourney was going.. this **** happens.

I hope Mares still fights someone.. it sucks for a fighter to go through camp and not fight.

 

...unless that means throwing an entire tournament into disarray and basically invalidating the semis.

 

Yeah. I hope Agebko gets the winner. That's all it really takes. Also lets them extend the tourney a little longer. Could be a good thing.

 

This sucks!! and i was planning on getting tickets for this fight.

 

Agbeko is in a **** ton of pain.

I've known people with sciatic nerve issues and it's not exactly something I envy.

 

No kidding :-( Ive been keeping up with Mares training camp and hes been super stoked and ready for this. I really think he's peaking and was gonna put in a career best performance.. I hope they can get a quality guy.... Ok i just got a call and my good source tells me that there trying to get Eric Morel in as a replacement. Hes the only one available at the moment... Mares will kick his ass, even though he didnt prepare for him.. I just think hes that much better... Morel is still a good fighter and good replacement though.. Hopefully this fight goes thru.

Morel fought 3 weeks ago, Jaro possible maybe? How about that Thai who is 33-1 fights the following day?

 

Morel "fought" for twelve minutes (before a BS cut stoppage just as the opponent was starting to get some traction), and it was hardly twelve minutes of war. He's fresh.
