He hasn't fought a really good boxer yet. His sense of distance was terrible against McCloskey. He was falling inside often against a guy that was stationary. McCloskey wasn't drawing any errors, Khan was simply making them. He doesn't slip punches either. I can hardly remember him slipping a punch. He either moves or blocks. Which is why his counterpunching game is kind of non-existent at the moment because you have to be loose and willing to react to counter. You can't counter while thinking about moving away. Overall he's one dimensional at the moment, its mostly thoughtless flurrying. It's a fairly good dimension mostly because of the gifts he has in the speed department are overwhelming to less than top class opposition. Without speed he'd be a sitting dick but fortunately he does have it. There is going to come a time when he needs a bit more than speed and I think Tim Bradley will probably be that time.
I'm laughing at this... Paul Williams is the worst tall fighter for his weight class(es) in terms of using his advantages...probably ever. P Wil has never fought tall. That said this is a ridiculous comparison anyway and not at all on point.

Khan and Bradley will be the lowest quality unification fight in years imo. thing is Khan makes shitloads of mistakes but I dont think Bradley has enough to fully take advantage. Khan will move up with delusions of grandeur and end up being spectacularly Ko'd again because of not developing his game
I have watched the Maidana fight a few times, believe it or not he did slip Maidana a good few times. I agree with you about the sitting duck at times, he seems too tense up top, he needs to ease up there, get some head movement going. As i said Bradley fight will answer alot of questions, should be a great fight.

And he tried in the early going against Phillips, before succumbing to his natural desire to get involved/the cut he suffered.
I like Victor, but I didn’t see any evolution in the Berto fight. He’s exactly the same fighter he was before, but just far more strong mentally, and far more comfortable at a higher weight. I mean, he still charges in recklessly face first, he still squares up too much, and he’s still susceptible to right hands. Talks of fighting Mayweather and Pacquiao are ridiculous. He’ll get ****ed up by a shot Shane Mosley (depending on how bad he looks against Pacquiao). We need to be careful in not letting the Berto win deceive us into thinking he’s ready for the elite.
I used this fight to make a point yesterday. Although, ultimately I think the quality of opponent means I'd doubt P-Dub could pick his punches like this against genuine challenges. Impressive for a first fight at 160 against someone who was supposed to fairly sturdy. But TFFP is right, awful comparison. Khan doesn't know how to use his advantages, or is too thick to be anything other than one dimensional. I appreciate Darni being a fan of his, but he offers very little in ways of argument rather than hypothesis. Froch proved me wrong against Abraham. Khan would have to undergo an even bigger stylistic metamorphosis considered as a half-decent mid-range fighter.
