Voted for option two simply because I don't think Marquez would do well at all against Pac at welter and at his age. He can also become the first mexican four weight champ if he takes this route.

Not that easy for Marquez to win a title at 140. I think both Kahn/Bradley and Judah beat him.

its easy actually, besides judah there is also the opportunity to stay at lightweight until the khan/bradley winner will move up and vacate, then he cane asily pick up a shiny belt.

You are pathetic and everyone knows it.

I dont care who he has fought in the last few years. The fact is he turned down 7 mil to fight Diaz for 3 mil. That is a big big duck. ODLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito had nothing to do with anything back then.

Just shows what an idiot you really are bringing up things that dont matter to make the duck seem ok.

I know Arum wanted to make the Diaz fight so he could feed Pac an easy title. Thats why when Soto became the mandatory for that title he stuck Soto in with someone else so Diaz would keep the title warm for Pac and not risk fighting Soto who was seen as a major up and comer back then.
Actually he even went as far as making Diaz not have to defend his title in his fight previous to Pac. He stuck him in a 140 pound non title fight because he didnt trust Diaz would keep the title fighting the bum he did fight.
Maybe that should show you a little on what i do know about the sport. Im alot more informed than you think i am.

As far as what he should do. I really dont care if he fights Pac or not. Im getting sick of Pac and PBF being mentioned everywhere as if they were the only relevant fighters. I would like for JMM to fight Judah take his title then go for the Khan-Bradley winner and either retire after that or fight Guerrero in a farewell fight.

Marquez don't know how to make deals.... Nacho is inept as a financial adviser. He needs someone that can see what is true potential earnings he has left.

He should operate as an independent for a fight against Pacquiao ask for a guaranteed 4 Million + PPV shares.

After a Pacquiao fight, his stock will drop should he lose but he'll still be able to pull in $1.5 Million against Morales or Bradley and he can Re-sign with GBP. Should he win, and this is really what he should be thinking, his stock will more than double and he can re-sign with GBP for the a 4th re-match.

A fight with Pacquaio would trump everything else for JMM and if I were him thats the fight I'd try to make even if I had to sign with Top Rank. He could fight Pac and if he wins then there would probably be a fourth fight. If he loses then Top Rank has a lot of good lightweights and some of the better 140 guys aren't with Golden Boy-Bradley, Judah, Alexander are all makeable fights for Top Rank. If he does stay with Golden Boy there are enough options at 135-140 to keep him in good fights the rest of his career.

JMM is going to be 38 by the time of his next fight he doesn't have that many fights left in him, Pac would pay more than 3-4 fights with other guys. Not too mention Pac brings way more prestige than any of his other options, he should do whatever Arum tells him he has to do to get a third Pac fight.

Probably sign with GBP and secure fights at 135-140lbs.

Bob Arum has ****ed him over in the past, why wouldn't he do so even with JMM under the top rank banner? He'll make him wait another few years.

if i'm jmm, i would not sign with TR unless there is a guarantee of a pac fight. put it in a contract and if arum could not guarantee pac then off to GBP. well that's just me if i am really after pacquiao.

Yeah, and Arum wouldn't guarantee him a fight unless he signs a multi-fight deal, in which he can still **** JMM over.

JMM is better off staying active fighting other significant fights, its a well known fact that Bob Arum made him wait years and years and now has excluded a third fight even though the public wants it.

JMM is not to blame in all this mess, Arum is.

then at least guarantee that pac would be his first fight. jmm could not get all without concessions. if he does not want to get stuck with arum, then he could kiss his pacman fight goodbye. GBP has their own share of screwing jmm when they fed him to floyd and forced him to fight when floyd weighed over the agreed catchweight. GBP and TR are both screwing him, at least get the fight that you really wants.
