Yeah I don't think he was packing either and belive it was overblown, but when I first heard the new s I was debastated, watching his fights and training vid s inspired me to train in a whole new way. Watching him just impose his will on his opponents throgh brute strength and powerful short range shots until his opponents buckled was like a shot of adrenaline before every heavy bag workout.
Oh yeah Pavlik a hype job? I guess depends on your definition of a hype job. He was a good middleweight champ with big power.. But IMO he was never a top 10 pfp guy like some thought........... PFP him and Lopez are like the same.. Always figured they were both big punchers who will beat some good fighters but they couldnt beat elite opponents.
Where do we start with this? ...Is there any reason to even bother? So, essentially you're saying fighters fall into 2 categories but offer no definition of each one. So we just have to base it on implied meaning based on your list of fighters and the categories they fall under. Hype Jobs seem to be fighters who have fans, but aren't living up to some magically appearing, pre-defined expectation made by... who exactly?? Real deals are people who... well, it can't be just those who win, cuz Cotto is there and loses regularly. Maybe it's those who show some kind of weakness against an evenly matched, but less hyped fighter maybe (how dare they!?) Or they have unsurmountable talent? Can't be, cuz you have Floyd as Hype Job over 147... hmm, guess we'll just have to say it defines boxers who do live up to those magically appearing, pre-determined expectations time and time again... Who is this post trying to educate? Fans of the 'hype job' figthers so they don't bother to follow their favorite fighters win, lose or draw? Boxing fans who just love the sport and love seeing fighters climb the road to greatness, set backs and all? Idiots who actually buy into this ridiculous hyperbole and broadly painted, polarising nonsense? Bingo. You know, I'm just not going to go on, it'll be lost on the idiots and those who get it, already do. I'll just suggest people favour who ever they choose to for what ever reason they choose to and if seeing a list like this determines who you're going to follow and support or not, then - here, have a crayon to play with...
Hatton = Real deal, very underrated Cotto = Real deal that took on all challenges. Margarito = Cheating **** Berto = Hype Job Angulo = Real deal. Alvarez = Hype job Cintron = Real deal Pavlik = Hype Job. Pacquiao = ATG Floyd = ATG Kirkland = Hype Job. JCC Jr. = Hype JOB Bradley = Real Deal. Khan = Real Deal but overrated Juan Ma. = Hype Job. Gamboa = Real Deal.
Pac is a hype job, Never fights anybody besides black fighters sloppy seconds. What the hell did Margarito do? Beat up the much hyped Cotto? We all know Hatton was trash and that is why Gayweather and Gay Pac fought him Khan is a joke

pavlik and Hatton weren't "hype jobs", they started their first 8 and 10 years undefeated respectively...seem like when a white fighter loses he's hype...jsut like JCalzaghe, but wait...he NEVER lost.
No, you are wrong he is just a honest black guy(I give him credit for that) who does not act like he really loves the whole sport.:yep
