No. But when some athletes start to feel the benefits of those 'pills' (increased stamina, punching power, ability the see/hit a baseball further, etc), sometimes they are more willing to just simply accept the word of their trainer/nutritionist. When you're able to throw 1000 punches in a fight without getting tired, or able to decrease your 100 meter dash by .25 seconds, or increase your HR output by 100%, do you really want to know what's in those pills/shakes? Especially if your passing all your tests. Pyschologically, it's hard for ANY athlete to step backwards. Look at Manny Ramirez.
You're reading too much into it. Have you ever seen Khan in an interview? He's horrible at them, naive, and needs coaching. In this particular interview it's a leading question and Khan always agrees with the interviewer in most situations i.e. agrees with words being put into his mouth, which is why I say he needs coaching. Plus most PEDs that a top athlete would take aren't simple tablet form. They'd be taking the latest undetectable (even by Olympic standards due to the fact they are unknown and you can't test for what you don't know) combo of drugs that wouldn't definitely all be orally ingested. There are a lot of old stereotypes of PEDs on here. Using PED's is a complete science, it's not a case of take some PED's train as normal and get better. You'd have a whole training schedule based around the fact you're on PEDs i.e. more than just your chemist/nutritionist would know! In most sports with any decent drug screening taking anything, but the latest versions of PED's is career suicide. You'd get caught! Within Boxing, which has arguably the worst screening of all top sports (but arguably the biggest motivation to use) you could probably get away with taking some older PED's (due to the fact out of competition random testing is non-existent), but I very much doubt a World class boxer would risk anything but the latest. If a World class Athlete is taking PED's they know about it 100%! I very much doubt Khan is on anything and that inteview means nothing to suggest he is/was. I have undergone drug testing in the past and also have friends that have been banned in the past.
totally agree. he agree's with almost anything. His answer usually starts like 'yeh definitely..... 'exactly....'that's right.....
With the amount of money on the line for a professional athlete, simply believing that no one would attempt to cheat in extremely naive.
No you get me wrong, I 100% believe people are juicing in many sports and although I don't like to believe it, I think is probably more of an issue in Boxing. I just don't think Khan is or that this interview proves he is hinting toward the team doing so. Boxing has more of the motivators to Dope than most other sports: 1) Top heavy pay out - Millions for World Champ, five figures for 5th in the World i.e. you have to be the best or nothing. 2) Demographics - poorer backgrounds, Countries with no Welfare system and high poverty i.e. not a sport, a way out so you have a different moral stance. 3) Boxing is a pure form of Athletic Ability with low need for fine motor skills i.e. being able to punch harder or recover quicker will have a high % improvement to ability. 4) Low anti-doping measures i.e. the risk of being caught is low. If Track Athletes are juicing for five figure pay days then Boxers definitely are for millions. Track Athletic bodies spend millions on anti-doping (although aruably they actually want to be a step behind the dopers as don't really want anyone to get caught), which is why they catch people. But it's hard to think Boxing would would have less of an issue than Track and Field, it's more to do with the lack of testing. What I mean by career suicide is that if you were going to use Doping and had the backing of $millions you'd do it right and could afford the latest consultants for doping i.e. make sure you couldn't get caught e.g. Mosely used HGH back when it was pretty much untested for in boxing (Track Athletes were using it in the 80's and it was definitely undetectable back then). Many Athletes on Track that have been caught doping all have had the same coach/consultant (I think you you could call him a chemist), but many more athletes are still in his training group. Does that mean if they haven't been caught they're not Doping? I doubt it, that's the whole reason you get trained by him i.e. he has the lastest versions of PEDs in line with the the latest anti-doping techniques (obviously not been proved that the athletes are all doping, but this particular guy has been assoicated with Doping for years and multiple of his athletes have been caught - after years of not being caught). PED development and anti-doping is an arms race and the developers have a lot more cash - they're way ahead! The people who get caught either make mistakes, have the whistle blown (back in the mid 2000's many athletes were caught when a sample of a new drug was sent into testers that they didn't even know to look for) or are stupid enough to take the drugs that you can be tested easily for. However, as I said on my previous post, now-a-days if you do decide to dope it's a scientific process and you'd know it if you were on a programme. In summary, I agree with you, just not that this this interview proves Khan was doing anything.
Khan should have just left it at i feel good with my new team....the wa he answers now can be misunderstood.
Khan, like all religious people, is a total hypocrit. "Ooh I can't eat pigs because it says so in some 3,000 year old book but I can send pictures of my **** to page 3 girls because my imaginary god is better than your imaginary god and forgives me for stuff like that" "also I'm a devout muslim unless it doesn't fit in with what I want to do at the time, like knocking people down in my car or eating during the fasting season" Religion has no place in modern society. Religious people are only religious when it suits them. Look at all the notable despots of recent years, Hussein, Bin Laden, Bush, Gadaffi, Richards. All hiding behind religion to absolve themselves of taking responsibility for their actions. I could go round stealing and raping things and say "thats part of my religion" but I don't. because that would make me a sinner and god hates sinners.
Kahn ain't that bright I c..... the amount of food you have to consume for what a couple of pills will give you makes it alot more convenient...... He is going to lack if its all "organic"......
I take supplements and multis, infact I take USANA multi-vit too which is the same as Pac's. There's about 40 ingredients listed on the back, of course I dont know what 80% of them are. Infact unless you're in some sort of medical science field, you really wont know either. What Khan is saying is, if someone gives him a banana and spinach, he knows what a banana and spinach is, if someone gives him a multi vit which contains; vitamin A,B,C,D,K,Calcium,Phosphorus, Iodine, Magnesium, Zinc, Chromium, Molybdenum, boron, Vanadium, Niachin, Manganese etc...**** knows if you, khan or anyone else knows what each and everyone of those does for your body. All we know is that, like we know paracetamol cures headaches without knowing how it works, we know those scientist put those ingredients in there for a reason. But of course, your *****sexual brain interpreted it as Khan thinking they were steroids. Besides, Khan outright said in that interview that his body feels better with the natural food as oppose to the pills...so are you implying that natural food is more effective than PEDs? If so then damm, they should start having "natural food testing" with no cut off date. lol. God there are some idiots in this forum.
Yeah Khan says he feels better now but he performed much better in the previous fight under Azira. Hell for a guy with a shaky chin he took some bombs from the best puncher in the division.
Alex is not a nutritionist. He is just a strength and conditioning coach. Nutrition and supplement program gets drawn up by Teri Tom. You make it seem like Ariza is producing these tablets in his basement with dodgy materials and a pill press. The supplements they are/were taking are manufactured by a company with a stellar reputation for quality and purity. The company even offers a $1M guarantee to professional athletes that they won't test positive for banned substances as a result of taking their products. That amount might seem insignificant considering what Pac and Khan earn, but I know of no other supplement manufacturer that would go near a guarantee like that. As an athlete, if you trust the manufacturer, you don't need to understand the science or even the name of every pill.
I would go the other way. Name me one athlete that knows EVERYTHING that they take from their nutritionist, trainer, coach, sports physician, therapist, and family doctor. Hell make it name me any person. Even doctors themselves are not all aware of everything they take (my wife is a nurse and I have several doctors in the family and close friends). They may have basic understanding, like cortisone is a steroid, but why is cortisone different from other PEDs? Most will not be able to explain it to you.
WTF are you going on about religion or his religious beleifs here for. Also, most of the **** you posted are totally incorrect or you have a great misunderstanding of what he beleives and his motives and justification for doing certain things. You're a Prime A **** who would hate someone because they have religious views and based on that alone. Without taking this in the lounge it's safe to say you have no clue on history or current events. If religion is the cause of all evil as you think, why the **** was the greatest war ever (with most deaths) caused due mainly due to irreligious **** Hitler and possibly Atheist bolshevite Stalin? Also, you think the ****ers who blow people up today are doing for religion? or is it also to do with the fact Mans age old greed for Land and Money (oil) has something to do with it?
