Mares wants big fight with Donaire

UNDEFEATED Mexican American bantamweight star Abner Mares welcomes the prospect of fighting world champion Nonito Donaire Jr. should Mares win his title match against Joseph Agbeko on April 23.
“I would like to fight Donaire. Now that Nonito has signed with Golden Boy, I think it will be a lot easier to make that fight,” Mares told Bay Area-based Pinoy boxing scribe Dennis Guillermo of California.

Since agbeko-mares is off Golden boy and Top rank should make this fight next.

GB and TR should make a lot of fights happen, don't bother getting your hopes up though

 

I definitely want to see that fight. Can Top Rank at least make 1 fight that the fans really want.

 

Mares'd get crushed. Don't get me wrong, I expect somewhat big things from his career, but to this point he has two impressive opponents, coming away 1-0-1 with the win being a close SD.

Let's not act like he is God or should be ranked higher than Agbeko.
