Um, what was Loew supposed to say? He had to say something positive. Let's wait and see...

Kell said he hit a wall and his legs felt like they were in cement. The cut was caused by a perfect right hand from Martinez. Kelly's corner has never had any problems with controlling cuts. He feels the weight loss had a lot to do with how much he was bleeding and how uncontrollable the cut became. He said Martinez fought a perfect fight after the cut. Kelly couldn't see the second, third, or fourth punch thrown by Martinez.
IMO~ You are going to see a beast on May 7th!

I am a huge Pavlik supporter and fan and will be betting heavy on him to get the win against Lopez but do you guys think he looks good in this sparring video? I think he looks OK but he would be losing a fight on the cards to this guy the way it is going, granted I have only watched the first 5 minutes.

Do you think the sparring is going well for KP?

Pavlik to me looks like a LHW, he should be fighting at 175 and walking around at 195-200, even 168 is going to drain him I feel. I think he would be full strength and very dangerous at 175, this allowing him his full natural strength, he looks strong in that video, but he's probably in the 180's there, when he drains down to 168 that still might be too much for him now.

The guy he's sparring is Romaro Johnson, the last guy who fought Lopez. Lopez got a TKO in the 12th rd.

Romaro quit after the 3rd rd sparring Kelly. Ro went over to the spitbucket and showed everybody what he had for breakfast.

I have little doubt Pavlik will be at 175 for a while before his career is over

This fight's at 171 and will help determine if he goes SMW or LHW.

I think you should take a closer look at the sparring video. Kelly worked Johnson over bad enough to make him quit in 3 rounds. When they shot that video it was very early in the sparring portion of camp. That might have been the very first session, but I'm not sure.

I'm a Pavlik supporter because he's fun to watch, but I'll take a wait and see approach. Team Pavlik has BS'd a lot over the past few years, so these comments coming from Loew are not convincing me of anything.

Cool, didn't know that, guess I should have done my homework more. I like the guy and wish him the very best in the future, I hope he gets a big fight later in the year.

Yep -- Team Pavlik isn't exactly a shining example of transparent honesty! However, there is one encouraging factor this time around. We've had a pretty steady flow of information ever since KP got out of rehab. There haven't been any of those long silent periods.

This is the first camp since Miranda that has been open to the media at all times.

Damned. Didn't know that and now that I do it is too late. I start a system admin job in Akron on Monday. Between that and my pension AssHat will have to find new insults because I'll probably be paying more money in taxes than he takes home. :yep
