Charles Sale in Sports Agenda (page 93) reported that Khan's decision was vindicated financially in that he earned £300K from PPV sales. However Sky were playing hardball on the night. Freelancers were put on pressure not to work for Primetime, and an outside broadcast booked for Primetime was suddenly needed on the night for greyhound racing.
What a wonderful success for Amir Khan....I'm sure the much needed additional £150,000 makes it all worth it.
Interesting, wonder how many sales it would have done on SBO then... Obviously more than the Primetime but how much more..
Spot on...:good I wonder if it will be at The Mandalay Bay or somewhere bigger...:think I think that Khan will box the ears off Bradley...:yep
70k more than I thought it would get. Would love to know how many were from Ireland and how many were Irish fans in the UK. Now was it worth ditching sky for the little extra money khan earned? I don't think it was!!! The fact sky told certain people (Spencer Oliver) not to work tells u that sky were not happy at all and its not just a blip in the relationship.
