ESPN2 FNF: Breidis Prescott vs. Bayan Jargal RBR

10-9 Prescott, he's throwing bombs in there.

 

Yep. He only won the round in the last 45 seconds though. Before that he was looking pretty foolish.

Oh no doubt, he's sloppy, but the last minute or so he was landing some good shots.

Round 2

Prescott keeps throwing his 1-2 hard, trying to line Jargal up with it from long range but lunging in and telegraphing it allowing Jargal to lean off to the sides and avoid the right hand. Jargal keeps moving with his hands up. Jargal ducks right into a left hook and gets shaken up a bit but keeps his composure. Prescott jabs into his guard. More wasted jabs by Prescott. Jargal keeps taking short sliding steps and leaning his upper body. Jargal drops his hands for a moment and catches a stray jab that turns his chin. Jargal tries to reach with a jab to the body but his range can't bring him contact with Prescott's lanky frame all the way across Prescott's long jab. Jargal is now walking in, hands up. A pair of wild chainsaw swings by Jargal, missing.

20-18 Prescott. Gotta say, he makes one of the weirder noises while punching that I've heard.

 

Las Vegas fights. A card on Fox Sports Deportes had him a min ago. Tony Weeks too.

Round 3

Prescott is trying to double his jab now, still hitting gloves. Left hooks to the body and right uppercuts come sailing into the bobbing and weaving skull of Jargal from underneath and from off to his right. Jargal is slipping and blocking a lot but the few shots Prescott is landing are the only things anyone is landing, as Jargal isn't throwing. Busy jabs and lead hooks to the body by Prescott, bending his knees a bit to drop a level. Jargal is walking him down, around the ring, without punching. Jargal is avoiding a lot of power punches with his awkward jerky movements but is also eating some big ones, showing a good chin. He hasn't been seriously hurt yet. Prescott fires off a 1-2 that clips either side of Jargal's head and then pulls his upper body back into the ropes before Jargal can get his stubby-armed counters off.

Round 4

Prescott is taking a long-legged spider crawl around the ring, popping his long jab to keep Jargal off his chest. Jargal is coming in with very strange motions, unpredictable but still somewhat slow. Prescott is just about able to react and adjust in time to slide away and jab before Jargal gets inside on him. Jargal is starting to throw a few punches with him before he escapes, though. Prescott wins the round on his jab.

Round 5

Prescott pumps his jab and lines up a 1-2. Jargal is hit flush, stands up to it. Jargal keeps trying to duck and weave his way in. Prescott has nailed him with some absolutely crushing right hands, and Jargal's knees have barely even buckled. Jargal ducks down very low, below the waist, almost able to touch his toes as he waddles in under Prescott's dipping power punches. Lunging jab by Jargal. Prescott pops out a double jab and a right cross, with Jargal slipping them all by moving his head alternately to either side. Jargal is finally hurt! Prescott is putting rights and left hooks together!! Jargal tries to slip them all right in the pocket!!! Jargal's head is bobbling all over, hair on end!!! Brutal. Jargal lunges forward with a jab and Prescott's longer jab hits him first, snapping his head back.
