Assuming he stays retired, what do you guys think of Winky's career? His wins over Mosley were good. He completely outclassed Trinidad. He had good fights with Hopkins(arguably won), Quartey, Vargas etc..
I thought as well as most he beat Jermain Taylor. Yes, he has proven his worth and was a solid champion.
"Stays Retired"? Hasn't he been retired with a few 2 year layoffs between fights? In all seriousness though, I don't think he is HOF caliber. He had a window of time there that he could have made some big moves, but priced himself out of so many fights (plus, he wasn't someone people wanted to fight given his style anyway). Potential was there, if he'd just kept at it and stayed active and forced the public to acknowledge him despite his style which was difficult to enjoy for casual fans (as well as some schooled fans). The above mentioned fights have some room for interpretation. The Trinidad fight hardly qualifies as Tito was done at the point (I was actually at that fight). Had he fought the Trinidad who tore through the jr. middle weight division and was cutting through middleweight as well....then he'd have a strong case. But old BHop that was "controversial" and Vargas? I don't think those put him on the ballet. I agree that his 2 wins over Mosley, are good...but not enough to put him in the Hall.

Ummm....the guy is 40 years old now.... and has over 50 Pro Fights...I think its safe to say hes gonna stay retired and that Martinez isn't in his plans.
absolutely he is arguebly the greatest junior middleweight ever or atleast top5, he was or should have been the only undisputed junior middleweight champ to become the undisputed middleweight champ when he beat taylor imo, he beat mosley, trinidad, quartey, very close fight with prime vargas, close fight with hopkins, shoe in first ballot HOF specially since sly stallone made it in
