Tyson might hang on for 12 rounds for a points decision but over 15 rounds Lenny would stop him. Brutally.

Tyson ko1. In a street fight I give McLean more of a chance than most though. If Tyson swings and misses allowing McLean inside to grab hold he's in big trouble.

Nah, Tyson was an animal, in a NHB fight he'd saage 'The Guv'nor' inside a minute, probably quicker.

Tysons reputation as a youth in NYC is probably akin to McLeans at his height as 'King Of The Doormen'.

From what I've read/seen, Bartley Gorman (probable bullshitter) Vs McLean would've been a great scrap.

 @ Gaz trying to back track.

    Great thread:happy

I like how the video describes McClean as the hardest man in Britain. Bruno fought for the world heavyweight title in the year that vid was shot. Bruno would have taken Lenny out without too much of a problem. Even Audley Harrison would have beaten him.

Yeah McClean was a hard *******, no doubt, but his boxing skill was virtially non-existant and he was unfit.

Tyson in a few seconds.I saw that Joe Savage bloke fight Bert Cooper,it was a complete joke,Cooper nearly killed him. These bare knuckle guys are ok fighting each other in the back rooms of pubs but are no match for a pro fighter.

Hope he is doing OK,thought he would have retired by now.The beating of Joe Savage is on youtube somewhere. Its a poor filming but still funny to watch.I think Savage got the message that he is no match for a pro.

As a guideline you should look at what happened to Joe Savage, the supposedly undefeated British streetgfighter when he crossed gloves with Bert Cooper.

**** quality, but keep in mind that this version of Cooper was already 'done' and coming off a TKO loss to Larry Donald.

That's the fight I was thinking of! I was making reference to this the other week, but couldn't remember the name of the guy who fought 'Smokin'Bert!

Savage was supposed to be in that infamous St Louis tournament, which was eventually won by Tony Tubbs but he backed out after seeing the guys in the gym.
