Hopkins UD, possible late round TKO. He may find himself on the canvas like but McClellan just doesn't have the diversity for me, something Hopkins possesses in heaps (in his prime he could punch fairly hard too).

Well a prime Hops I think would be able to make it a really dirty and mean fight but I think G-Mans athleticism gets him out and his power is just too much for anyone to handle.

G-Man fighting the Hopkins that fought Jermain Taylor would knock Hopkins out. G-Man was sooooo much better than Taylor its not even funny.

McClellan wins, McClellan didnt like pressure up close, that was the way to beat him, but he had the most dangerous straight right going.

This is one of my dream fights.

McClellan is the hardest puncher of all the time at 160.

I would say Hopkins close UD.

But i cant shake the feeling G Mans catch B Hop with something big and finishs him off very early.

I dont know. its a Toss up

    I cant vote

Good post, this is how I see it.

Gerald would be able to create the space and would match Hopkins in hand speed and moves way better.

The Hopkins Right hand followed by head followed by clinching would be exploited. Geralds Jab would also be landing.

I could actually see a shut out after about 4 rounds of measuring up.

Hopkins fans like having it both ways pretending that Hopkins D from the second half of his career and 'killer' offense from the lipsey fight are all wrapped into one.

Reality is that eaither version of Hopkins gets KO'd, only difference is the Hopkins from his mid-late career with his anti boxing, spoiler, dirty style lasts a few more rounds before it happens.

I have so much respect for the G man but Hopkins is an elite ATG fighter. That being said Hopkins a close UD win.

G-man is competitive in the early rounds

Round 6 onward Hopkins DOMINATES McClellan. G-man is terribly ovverated
