I agree with you that it should only move him up slightly, but how slight are we talking? i say manny is like 17 or 18 atg right now and people have a win vs mayweather placing him in the top ten. thats a pretty big jump actually. i don't think i could give him that kind of rise up the atg rankings.

same weightclass but not the same weight or size regardless. Pac is force-fed to keep his weight up during training and still weighs in around 144. Floyd couldn't even make 144 against Marquez and had to pay the penalty.

Who ranks higher, Emmanuel "Pacman" Pacquiao or Michael "the Jinx" Spinks?

Right now I have Pac around 20ish. He can make top 10 if his remaining 5-6 fights are solid. But a win over Mayweather (assuming it's a dominant performance) and he's instant top 10 imo, Mayweather is a huge legacy booster.

I thought I was a bit too generous when I said top 15, but I guess more fans believe he's top 10 :thumbsup

I already rank him in the Top10.

    If he beats Mayweather, Top7.

believe me, pac vs srl at or under weltweight, believe me pac might lose, but looks good and has his moments. no matter how srl fights, warstyle he would get KOd by pacman, typacal srl jumping around ali-style, srl UD's him like he did with duran, but pac would still hav his moments of glory. like I said from the talent point of view sugar rl is top 3 ever. only his record and the amount of fights aren't as good as the top 3's....

Pac is 25-30 for me right now. A win over Floyd would put him early 20s.

With hindsight I don't think we'll rate this era as highly as we do now.

Looking at Pac's last few fights it seems a bit stupid talking about his ATG rankings. Has anyone been anything more than underwhelmed by these bouts?
