Why would Ortiz waste his time with Berto again? Beat him comprehensively, despite some defensive mistakes. Berto is a certified protected hypejob and as such he doesn't deserve that big a fight again until he proves himself. On to bigger and better things for Ortiz.

If Berto is 100% focused he'll beat Ortiz.

Stupid fight for Ortiz right now when he can fight some one else and get a big pay day and down the road then build a rematch fight with berto and get paiddd right now is way to soon let the stew brew a little but I still like Ortiz to beat Berto.

Berto deserves a rematch. Anything can happen when those two fight, we saw that. A champion should get a chance to redeem himself.

50/50 neither guy can take the other's punch and they are both very flawed, Berto hasn't developed enough and Ortiz is still too reckless.

:patsch Ortiz won but he was KD twice, nearly KTFO and the ref was seconds away from stopping it, how the **** is it a waste a time for the new champ to give the ex Champ a rematch, when it was a tough fight? Some you guys are just haters.

a lot of truth to it.

Collazo priced himself out of the Berto rematch it was in an article on the scene

sick of these crybabies all the time whining about a close fight.

(and considering two judges had Berto winning by 1 point, I think it would apply.) you could make a case that the other guy won .. big deal, he lost get over it.

even his corner said Luis had to win the last 2 rounds to get the belt, he didn't and a result was losing by UD.

Different sport but in a long distance track race when a guy starts out with a big lead but gets edged out at the finish, he still lost the race regardless of how big his lead was.

Same idea with Collazo vs Berto, Luis had plenty of opportunity to take charge of this fight and win it convincingly but he chose to take rounds off, and it cost him the title.

**personally I still think Collazo is mentally torn up from the Berto loss, which would explain why he's fought nothing but scrubs since his title fight loss. I mean he's fought big names and lost before (Mosley, Hatton) why not step up again?

That's because he was pushing forward from beggining to end... being the agressor Berto got Punished.

WTF would you want Ortiz to do? pot shot his way to a UD? that **** was exciting because he was possessed coming forward like a lion attacking prey yeah the deer kicked him a couple of time.. but the lion finished the meal.

If it happens again, same result in another excting match if Ortiz brings the hunger.. but seeing the reaction he got from everyone I am sure he will try to fight like that again. But not it wasn't a waste time... and Ortiz this time will come better suited at 147 and will surely KTFO berto this time.

Berto got hit with over 200 power shots. He fights on his heels and can't move away from this level of opposition's punches. Berto is going to take a lot of beatings fighting like that.

He need to start with prospect level opposition and fight his dues to prepare him for top level, he has the tools but refuses to sharpen them.
