Competitive in the fact that Burtons corner had to throw in the towel because if you threw a needle in the ring you'd hit Burton?

Margarito and Cotto arent going to go down as the best of the best in any generation. B level fighters at best. THis generation is awful if they are considered the elite of it.

Every hall of famer on Floyds resume is coming off a brutal KO of a recent opponent you ****ing ******.

Competitive to a point. I guess him being in he same ring and still throwing punches/walking Mayweather down makes it somewhat competitive...but Mayweather was quite clearly winning before the towel. So in that sense, it wasn't that competitive.

It is fact he took the easiest road possible and it backfired. Nobody in the world cares about his zero except for himself. He lost to Castillo in their first fight and never faced one prime atg his entire career.

At WW not to have 2 of the following Cotto, Margarito, Clottey or Pac on your resume is laughable.

Of course he was winning, that doesnt mean it wasnt competitive. Burton was thorwing punches, and landing. Watch the fight more closely. He was going tit for tat with Floyd throughout the fight. Floyd landed the cleaner, harder, more eye-catching punches, but Burton was getting shots in consistently too. Just look at Floyd face and it tells the story. He said himself it was his toughest fight.

    ..What?

It's just an observation I've seen, and I'm not black. I don't like racial topics in the sport but it seems to be true.

How did it backfire? He's a multimillionaire, always near the top of the P4P rankings and the highest selling fighter in the sport.

Please ******. List 3 fighters with better resume's then Mayweather that are currently active fighting.
    Post your scorecard ******.
So? Manny Pacquiao arguably hasnt faced any either. At best he's faced 1. NAme an ATG from 130-147 that Mayweather could have fought in their prime not named Pacquiao?

Mosley and DE La Hoy are better victories then all of them except for Pac. Cotto got lucky against Mosley, Margarito got destroyed by Mosley, and OSCar that Floyd fought would **** those 2 up bad.

People always catching feelings whenever someone talking about an advantage black people have in boxing. They can try to deny it, but that doesn't make it go away. They're not the most dominant group in boxing history for no reason.

I already stated it was somewhat competitive, but not competitive like it was/could have been close on the scorecards. Burton landed a good number of shots on Mayweather, winning the rare exchange if I remember rightly...but I don't remember him winning more than 1 round (I havn't seen the bout in years, so I may be wrong).

Sorry bro, those 2 statements dont jive. How do you go tit for tat when the other guy is landing the harder punches? :nut

Mayweather was landing punches I didnt even know he had in his arsenal. He at one point lands a 3 left hooks flush. Burtons corner stopped the fight because it wasnt competitive. Floyd was landing whatever he wanted and Burton if the fight went on could have been in serious trouble physically.

Floyd has a bloody nose, Burtons face looks like one of Manny Pacquiaos recent opponents.

Pretty much how I had it cept I gave round 11 to Mayweather and 6 to Castillo.

Anyone who says it was clear cut in any direction is a douchebag.

Doesn't he develop a little nick under his left eye from minor blows? I remember this being something pointed out by his old cutman turned trainer Miguel Diaz.
