If Wlad beats Haye then that's just another random HW beltholder he beat. And one with a very very thin record, too.

In fact a win over Haye will be quite worthless considering Haye will retire on the spot and forgotten quickly.

Quite a silly post really. The main criteria for ranking a retired fighter is their success in their era. In beating haye, wlad will have unified with the number 3 ranked fighter. Add that to his victories over peter, byrd, iggy, chag and you have 5 top 5 opponents. As well as 4 current champions beaten. Aside from fighting vitali it's literally the next best thing.

He already did that twice by beating Byrd and Chagaev.

Haye is worthless because he wants to retire if he loses and he has a very thin resume coming into the fight. By retiring he makes sure his thin resume won't become any better in the future.
