    I cannot deny that Floyd... has engineered a Caribbean cruise of a career by handpicking all of his opponents, not fighting that often, and basing his whole game around not getting hit.

    What's sad is the ones who claim Castillo won don't even have their own scorecards

    Blacks (African Americans) have the athletic advantage but also they have been more on the poorer side , notice that the Jews don't seem to be as good at boxing than in the 20's. The other thing is that some of them esp' the ones that are seemed to be unbeatable pick who they fight with a bit more caution, or find a way to fight who suits them best. IE Floyd, RJJ, SRL and others these type of boxers would not have survived the early stages of boxing were they have to fight a lot more often and cannot choose who they fight as much. But on the other hand the White early boxers were quite good at ducking the feared Black fighters (Black murderers row etc...)

    You conveniently leave out the part about Whitaker fighting live bodies and threatening opponents... Way to make your point! :good

    It's great that he's gone his whole career without being tested or having any real scary moments...

    It's a real testimony to the power of management.

    He has successfully made millions of dollars fighting opposition just credible enough to make an argument for, but not dangerous enough to make it a risk.

    I have watched the fight 4 times in it's entirety. Castillo won 7 rounds to 5.
    He threw more punches, landed more and at a higher percentange. The icing on the cake is the power shots which he demolished Floyd like no other fighter has come close. Castillo took over the entire second half of the fight.

    I recently watched the fight, with the intention of giving Castillo the benefit of the doubt, and he still lost by one point.

    It was close, but a definite Mayweather win. I hate him, but he won that fight.

    Close but clear.

    There is just no way to give Floyd more than 5 rounds in that fight, No way.
    he did not do enough and has no answer for Castillo's power shots.

    I had it like this.

    R1 = $
    R2 = $
    R3 = $
    R4 = $
    R5 = $
    R6 = could go either way
    R7 = Jose
    R8 = Jose
    R9 = Jose
    R10 = $
    R11 = Jose
    R12 = Jose

    Jose didn't help himself by losing the first 5 rounds. $ didn't help himself by losing all but 1 of the latter 6 rounds, especially with how he came in as a challenger for a belt.

    I think Floyd's jab made the difference in how the judges scored the fight.

    His "D" is not the best ever. It's very good but pernelle was more defensively sound. Floyd relies on reflexes and natural god given gifts that allows him to get out of the way by using his feet more so than staying in the pocket and using boxing skills. Floyd has great boxing skills but he's even more talented which plays a major factor in his ability to avoid offense. Floyd doens't usually fight in the pocket unless he's fighting limited opp that he doesn't have fear of.
