thought he would lose by UD, than winning every rd.. if he fights hyped up and energyzed every time like this mares & even donaire gonne have problems....
yeah, in the interview his eye looked all right.... do you guys know when pacquiao-mosley fight camp ep. 2 gonne start??
Perez is one of of the least skilled out of the top 10 Bantamweights, and definitely the least skilled of the four in the tournament. His chin, and pressure are usually what get him through. It was a very good style match up for Darchinyan. Perez came straight to him with absolutely no head movement, or counter punching ability.
No he isn't. Had a near-dead man in front of him that he didn't/couldn't try to finish. I thought Vic at this age is too old and past it for this style. The guy neglects and or paws with the jab. Looks for that big left hand way too much. When he throws combos he looks good. Basically has no right hand, and doesn't like fighting on the inside (Like most fighters in this era). Appeared winded after the first few rounds and even in post-fight interview. Sure he can punch, and he has one hell of an ego. He could learn a ton from watching some of LaMotta's fights. A real Raging Bull. Perez was even worse. Like a fragile (As he looks with his build), less resilient Paul Williams.
Vic performs well if he can take his opponents' punches. Proven by his previous fights. Even highly technical fighter will succumb to his power. Donaire isnt light fisted and delivers a very strong left hook which Vic is a sucker for.
Donaire wins 9 out of 10 fights with Vic. Maybe more like 95 out of 100. There is always the chance that Vic would land that special punch, but Donaire is just a better fighter, as well as being a stylistic mismatch. Darchinyan beats Mares in a rematch, and would do better against Agbeko.
Try 999/1000. Or hell, maybe just 100/100. No way in hell Dick Varchinyan beats Donaire in ANY circumstances at any weights. Donaire's the perfect counter for Vic. I give Montiel better odds still @Donaire rematch even if he lasted 3 rounds earlier.
Perez reminded me of Caballero in terms of the "something ain't right" like a look in their eyes like they don't want to be there.
