Yeah Billy Nelson makes the decisions as to who ricky fights as a trainer and not the promoter. I hope that high paying job you have doesnt need alot of common sense for you to be successful for your company.

 

Of course they are. But that is only because Billy is on here every five minutes proclaiming Ricky to be the best in the world and that he'd take on and beat anybody, when in reality is future opponent list probably reads along the lines of: Foster Jnr, Cook, Arthur and Appleby in any order.

But that's understandable I suppose. He's his trainer so of course he's gonna say Ricky will beat anyone. It's just the utter disdain he shows for anybody who disagrees with him that ranckles people, showering them with swear words and going on about "yoo keyboard warriors don't know **** about boxing" etc. etc.

But at the end of the day it's all harmless. Everyone enjoys winding Billy up, and I'm sure he enjoys coming on here defending himself and cussing at people. No-one takes him seriously as a poster anyway.

Oh, and BTW my favourite Billy moment was his mini-meltdown on boxrec when Sky didn't mention Burns' win against that Afrobum on Ringside the week after.

Why did nobody get why Billy said he would like to fight Cook and Sykes, he was making a reference to Sky asking if Burns was the best at 130 in the UK. It was a Tongue in cheek comment and people giving Billy stick for Burns last two opponents are just plain stupid/trolls. Sure Billy overhypes Burns but he has to believe in his man, he trains him ffs.

Edit: just saw that you amended your post. But as a follow on to my last post, below is my reasoning why people should not give Billy stick for Burns opponents.

Because Billy would have had very little say in who Ricky faces, the selection of opponents is down to Ricky's promoter and manager.

The only say that Ricky and Billy have is do they accept or reject the fight and if they were to reject a fight they run the risk of going inactive and damaging their relationship with Ricky's promoter and manager.
