Like most great fighters Pacquaio is an attention ***** I wonder how he will deal with retirement ... Or if he gets "shot"?

Manny seems to work in his own schedule ... and he loves the crowd around him ... when all that is not there anymore ... would he embarass himself and keep fighting? Or god forbid would he like kill himself cuz life isn't what it used be or get into drugs?

    What do y'all think?

I think he'd deal with it relatively well, I mean he's dealt with his defeats well and not got too upset and that would be a decent indicator to me. He's already stated that he won't fight too many more fights (I'd say another 3 or 4 tops). I just see him trying to get more and more into politics and lets face it, he's never going to be a anonymous nobody in the Phillipines anyway.

We could be looking at end times. A coked up philipino midget with nothing to live for and that type of handspeed could cause carnage if let loose in a city centre.

With his background, he could succeed Ferdinand Marcos as the next despotic ruler of the Philippines. His political career has already begun. He's not following Navarrete into domestic oblivion.

The attention comes to manny not vice versa. manny seems a very unasuming, modest guy. he doesnt go out of his way for attention unlike floyd

You're referring to GayJoy? (Sorry, but for me, "Floyd" is reserved for the classy Patterson alone.)

Much better question. A few years ago on an ESPN interview, he said he wanted to be remembered as the greatest boxer of all time. His life long sense of self seems wrapped up in something he won't be able to do at the top level for much longer if he lives any length of time. At least Tyson has his pigeons, the first love he originally took up boxing in defense of. (Of course Mike is not the second generation boxer GayJoy is.)

But he knows that and manipuulates it ... he likes the attention ... that's why he does all the extra stuff ... I give him this tho; he's living his life to the fullest
