let me get this straight use guys wud rather watch people who can only slug instead of watching an actual boxing match with an inshape skillfull fighter???why do the yankies big up mayweather for the exact same thing but dismiss these 2 brothers for doing it??its got nothing to do with there in ring abilitys its about there personalitys they are from a different lifestyle than our own and use guys dont like it....y not just say that instead of makin urselves look like idiiots saying use wud rather watch bums who arnt to good slug instead of proper in shape dedicated boxers???****ing idiots
I almost cried thank you so much for this statement, I needed the laugh and for someone else to say the Klitschko's sucked.
Stick to watching highlander games and log throwing compititions, let us know when Scotland produces a top HW, any top boxer for that matter.
They're the two best fighters in the division currently and have been dominant for quite a while now. The trouble is, their styles are boring as hell to watch and the fact they are huge men just makes it even more frustrating. They could be knocking guys out in style all day long but they prefer not to. People talk about Tyson, Louis and Marciano ruling in terrible eras but the difference is, those fighters were entertaining to watch. The Klits struggle to even get TV coverage in the USA and other countries. That tells you everything you need to know about their entertainment value. I echo Jack's sentiment in that the division would be more interesting with some competitive fights between the likes of Haye, Adamek and Arreola. Yes, they're not as skilled at the K bros, but it would be loads better to watch.
They have Andy Murray though, it's as rewarding and disappointing as a nation's top athlete can be. I do like Andy BTW.
I agree Klitschkos are really boring to watch, but to say they are "killing HW boxing" is an overstatement. It is not that the rest of the division offers much excitement, just to mention Haye-Harrison, Adamek-McBride, or Povetkin feasting on bums. Again, I agree top10 boxers should fight each other more frequently... but if things are different, it has nothing to do with Klitschkos.
i dont particularly like their style but every boxing fan has to acknowledge the fact that they take on all comers. i respect them immensely. when lewis was around, vitali fought him. hell, he begged for a rematch. im sure they would have both fought tyson or any other hw in history. wlad is about to fight haye the hype job. give the klits their just due. they deserve it. theyre a force to be reckoned with.
Utter bull. If a dominant champ who gets knockouts and sells out arena's is bad for the sport then I have no idea what your criteria is. I have two problem with the brothers as boxers, and that is they split competition whilst refusing to fight each other. This era right now is similar to the 20's. We have the long reigning champ (wlad/dempsey) and we have the long reigning number 1 (vitali/wills) compound this with the lack of common competitors and it is apparent that they are a united force, not two individuals. That aside, in wlad we have one of the best heavyweights of all time. Since the first peter fight he has done all that could be asked of him (except fight vitali) he has a quality resume and he will be sorely missed, mark my words. In vitali we have an enigma, why isn't he showing signs of his age yet, we all say it must happen soon but what if it doesn't? Either way their biggest negative is also their biggest positive because it makes for a great story. Two brothers cleaning out the heavyweight division between them. It's brilliant. I used to think they were boring but it's just not true, they bring a story, personality, admirable qualities and knockouts. They'll be missed for sure if they retire on top.
