I'd take Hopkins to give a "Pavlik" like lesson to Kessler.. Bernard has a way of making every fighter look bad. (including both Jones Jr. & Calzaghe in his defeats)
Hopkins by UD. Kessler is beyond overrated and the only people that overrate him are very obvious and comical, just check out their "location". Most are British fans that desperately want to hype Calzaghe's existence in this sport. Kessler is his biggest victory and now they're slowly replacing that with "43 year old Hopkins is his biggest victory".
His name is David UK, do you need more to look through it? David "I desperately want people to remember the already forgotten Calzaghe" UK.
If Pascal could have an even fight with old man Hopkins, so could Kessler... Old man Hopkins is not some sort of unbeatable monster who easily dominates everyone besides Pascal...
It is always humorous watching undercover racist white men seeth and fume over a black man calling their beloved Slappy Joe Calsacky, "white boy." That was bad enough, then Hopkins put hands on Calzaghe during the fight. Really taking his manhood and sending him back to Wales with his tail between his legs. On to the subject, Hopkins would have put hands on Kessler. The only reason Calzaghe was even in the fight with Hopkins was because of Hopkins thyroid issue. Hopkins would do to Kessler's robotic arse, what he did to Pavlik's robotic arse.
Hopkins via schooling. Kessler is way too straight up and predictable. Hopkins could beat Kessler in his sleep.
I disagree. If Hopkins has the gas in his tank to go 12 hard rounds like he did in the Pascal, Pavlik, Tarver, and Orneallas fights, It will be the same type of fight as the Pavlik fight. Kessler's robotic style is right up Hopkins alley. Kessler doesn't have hand speed and doesn't have the best footwork either.
Hopkins would win a pretty comfortable decision. He's too experienced and too intelligent to let Kessler get off, he'll just stay far on the outside and make Mikkel come to him, and as Mikkel is on the march forward Hopkins will neutralize his jab with footwork and make it a dirty fight, much like Andre Ward did.
