His weight won't really matter, but his length can matter.

Anybody think Floyd's Size Advantage Over Pac Will Give Him Fits? When he turns up weighting 158 for a 147lb fight? I imagine that would give everyone Fits.

He didn't say it sarcastically. It was reported from Ring Magazine that he weighed 152 for Marquez and he trained harder than ever for Mosley and he attended to come in around 152. but couldn't

Floyd wasn't no 147 in his fight against Mosley or JMM on fight night. GTFO here with that. Floyd is a true WW now and has filled into his body. He looked physically bigger than Mosley.

i thought this too. i couldn't believe my eyes when mayweather actually looked like the bigger and stronger one of the two. i think mayweather is definitely a true ww and since he will not fight pac at some dumb catch weight he will have his strength and speed and i think thats what will throw pac off the most. pac has fought good counterpunchers, but not good counterpunchers that have the power mayweather has. mayweathers power is extremely underrated. if he was feather fisted like a lot of people seem to think then people would just bum rush him and nobody except for castillo has stuck wit that gameplan for an entire fight. dlh and mosley backed off when they started getting peppered with his right hand.

Floyd Mayweathers Alleged “Ducking” of Manny Pacquiao : The Truth – Part 1

    April 23rd, 2011

Legendary fights between legendary fighters can always be made…if both parties share a similar immense desire to consummate into stirring conflict. Both parties. If not, superfights will fall by the wayside, boxing once again suffers, the sport looks a mockery & legions of followers of both sides are left picking up the mess, blaming each other.

Floyd Mayweather & Manny Pacquiao are polar opposites in just about every aspect of their legendary existences. Mayweather is not an overly-offensive fighter; he does not have an aggressive style, he does not fight toe-to-toe…he does not engage in risk-taking. Defensive minded, protect his vulnerable chin at all costs & out-think opponents & styles in & outside the ring. That is the man’s prerogative & that is the man’s choice. His mindset inside the ring is not to sporadically engage; but to out-manouver his opponents offense with slick reflexes & just as slick mentality….to pick & choose when he attacks, to pick & choose who he fights & to wear his opponents down over 12 rounds into such a mental state of anguish, they begin questioning themselves inside the ring when they should attack him. In its own negative stance; it is genius. Ask yourself…why would this kind of defensive, elusive mindset act any differently outside the ring?

Manny Pacquioa is one of the greatest offensive boxers of all time. His style of perpetual motion speed & movement, combined with TKO power in both hands is like that of a human typhoon mixed with a volcanic eruption in the midst of a high-octane explosion. He willingly fights “toe-to-toe”, has always been willing to fight just about any boxer thrown his way…has jumped weight classes like they fail to exist & destroyed more-than worthy champions. He wears his opponents down with his endless stamina, incredibly destructive power & most importantly….his rock-iron granite chin that allows him to take risks against more natural-heavier opponents & be hit….but this will open up opportunities for him to un-leash his naturally supreme power. Read his autobiography; he wished from an early age to create a war in the ring…to hit at force & at times willing to be hit with force in order to entertain his adoring public. Why then; would this kind of offensive mentality to face all-comers differ outside the ring?

Assessing both fighters before the “inevitable” talks broke down; I would have come to the conclusion that if negotiations were to disparage…Mayweather would be the culprit putting obstacles in the way. Pacquioa is Mayweathers nemesis; no human boxer alive including Floyd has the reflexes to withstand or avoid a two-handed fighter with seemingly rubiks-cube inter-locking angles of four & five punch accurate combinations, of speed, immense precision & power. Pacquioa has everything in his arsenal to un-lock any defence. Any human defence including Mayweathers. His cast-iron chin would allow him to walk through Floyds counter-punching style, allowing him to swarm Floyd like no other boxer alive with flurry after flurry after flurry for a relentless 12 full rounds. Uncle Roger realizes this; Floyd Snr understands this, Floyd Jnr himself comprehends this & from the start these three have set out……never to fight Manny Pacquiao.

Low & behold; talks inevitably broke down due to Floyd un-willing to co-operate with commission state boxing rules, immediately putting in the obstacle of “random testing” up to the day of the fight. Ask yourself; why put an immediate obstacle in the way in the first place? Why not be willing as a self-proclaimed true warrior to agree with commissioning laws & have tests immediately after the fight? This is a coward’s insistence. Even more cowardly is the trash-talking libelous smear campaign of Pacquiao. Let me just add; I train seven days a week & when I once gave blood…I was weakened for three whole days. It does affect people in different ways. Pacquioa has publicly stated before his loss to Morales he gave blood days before the fight. Re-watch that fight & you will hear HBO commentary state how Pacquiao looks tired after only five or six rounds when we all know Pacquioa has the greatest stamina of any fighter of any generation witnessed. Something was amiss in that fight & if you don’t believe me, watch it again. Remember, boxing is all about “ego’s”…why the hell would Manny Pacquioa accept Floyds demand, in effect giving him round one, weakening his body & succumbing to Mayweathers ego? Would Floyd? No chance. Look through the smokescreen & mirrors & see that it’s another clear “obstacle” by Floyd designed to restrict the signing of contracts; this from a guy that should be the one desperate to defeat the official “P4P King” & for a boxer whos love of money outstrips the game itself; make upwards of $50 million from this fight alone.

On the day Manny Pacquioa TKO Ricky Hatton; Floyd Mayweather stood on a podium claiming to be the greatest. Why didn’t he wait one more day to do it when Pacquiao was contractually free?…because Floyd has always been willing to make these kind of outlandish statements once Pacquiao is contractually tied in other fights. Making these boasts when Manny is looking to negotiate his next fight would lead Pacquiao into his path & that is a predicament Floyd Mayweather cannot have remember? Whilst Manny is currently meeting the President; Floyd is battering women; posting photos of himself with George Bush & twittering about Mannys three defeats whilst boasting about his precious “0″ record (at the co-incidental time that Manny had signed up to fight Mosley). When Pacquiao was contractually free; did we hear Floyd’s boasts then…no. He announced he had co-incidentally retired. By ranting on twitter about Pacquiao’s losses; he reminds me of the kid at school who would tell all & sundry how hard he was…then run away at the moment of truth. Only then to re-appear, telling any fool who listens how hard he was.

Floyd Mayweathers Alleged “Ducking” of Manny Pacquiao : The Truth – Part 2

Then we have the convenient “retirement” excuse as & when he feels it is necessary to avoid dangerous “in their prime” opponents. A clever strategy. By using the excuse of retiring, Floyd Mayweather manages to avoid all questions of fighting boxers currently in their prime.

His deluded fans will once again give him the benefit of the doubt & his precious ego is again un-tarnished. He is in total control. Ask yourself; how would Floyd have dealt with a fully-primed power-house technician like Miguel Cotto, a relentless pressure-cooker of Antonio Margarito & now Manny Pacquioa. Not very well; hence these fights have not & never will take place. Hence the reluctance to accept a basic…yes a basic guaranteed $50 million purse to fight Manny revealed by Pacquiao’s advisor, Michael Konz. Mayweathers largest purse before this had been $25 million yet once again he will not agree to fight Manny Pacquiao in the ring. If Pacquiao agreed to a $60 million purse, Mayweather would then demand $70 million. If $70 million was agreed; Mayweather would demand $80 million. If Pacquioa agreed to giving 100% of all profits to Floyd; Mayweather would then balk at the share of PPV or another obstacle would be conjured up like a wandering magician.

Remember, Floyd Snr was present in the corner when Manny put Ricky Hatton into the land of nod, was at ringside to witness the destruction of more powerfully bigger fighters such as Miguel Cotto & Margarito & is on “youtube” stating he fears for his sons life if he fought Pacquiao. He cannot believe Manny Pacquioa’s natural power, how outstanding a boxer he is, how fearsome, dangerous & how awesome he is, so we have the ludicrous suggestion of illegal drug use to justify Pacqiuoa’s legendary greatness. It is some compliment for Floyd & his family to publicly admit they cannot believe Pacquioa can be that good, without the use of illegal substances.

To believe Mayweather is “cleaning up the sport” instead of “ducking fighting Pacquioa” is stupendously immature at best, naive at worst; to believe Mayweather co-incidentally “retires” at moments in time when the most highly offensive & currently dangerous boxers were in their primes like Cotto, Margarito & now Pacquioa is again naieve. To believe the libelous accusation that God-fearing, gentleman, class act, politician & all-round humanitarian Pacquioa is on “PEDS” is not just incredibly naive; it is absolutely incredulous, especially when the accusation perspires from an unscrupulous family of drug-taking, woman-battering, child-threatening low-lifes who also claim Vietnamese soldiers injected illegal narcotics that allowed bullets to bounce off their backs in war. Step forward Uncle Roger. The man is un-hinged at best. It does not matter that Mayweathers fans think he can defeat Pacquiao; Mayweather himself does not believe it. The man is a coward, a fraud…a sham & anyone who now follows this guy or endeavors to finance his PPV fights has a morale duty to look themselves in the mirror & ask why are they contributing to the death of our generational super-fight & alongside that; the potential long-term death of boxing as a prime sport. In what other sport would the best not take on the best for fear of losing like Floyd Mayweather?

There you have it; the most concise & clear “calling out” you’ll ever hear. Let’s get this clear…Manny Pacquioa is recognized in boxing as the P4P King. It should be Mayweather doing the “calling out”, not Pacquioa. Mayweather should be desperate to put Pacquioa in his place, to step up to the plate & claim the “P4P” title, to show he is the greatest in a time where the boxing world publicly acknowledges Pacquiao reigns supreme. Let’s all be honest; people like Mayweather don’t care for the fans deep down; like he’s already stated….the fans don’t pay his bills, the fans don’t put his children through school. This man doesn’t even care to be the greatest he can be. All he’s interested in is “money “& the zero losses that will protect his own “precious ego” until the day he dies. He can then proclaim no-body could beat him in his prime; yet the one boxer alive who could dismantle him is avoided at all costs & by all means necessary.

These zero losses protects his mentally fragile world; defeat by Manny Pacquiao would shatter this illusion & send him more off-the-rails than he currently is. $100 million couldn’t even tempt the guy. With ego-tistical maniacs like Floyd Mayweather; sometimes all the money on Gods given earth isn’t worth the loss of ego to defeat by the peoples champion. It would destroy Floyd in his over-inflated little world. I would go so far as to state his whole career is a sham & pretty much irrelevant unless he fights Manny Pacquiao. If you are not prepared to fight the best of your generation; then your career & legacy has to be forever tarnished; his fans will forever believe his excuses when in reality; they are utterly deluded & following a coward of the ring. There is no place for cowards in the sport of Gods. Boxing needs this fight; the fans demand it, Pacquiao wants it but Floyd Mayweather is restricting it with multi-angled deflective attacks outside the ring as effective as Pacquiao’s boxing prowess attacks inside it. Now is the time for no more demands; no more libelous smears, no more retirements, no more excuses. Fight or permanently retire.

Judging by Mayweathers meltdowns; Manny Pacquioa has already defeated Floyd Mayweather outside of the ring. He would destroy him inside it….& the Mayweather family knows this. That is the brutal truth, that is why this fight will never enter the history books & to all those who have fallen for Floyds deceitful fabrications…please for the sake of boxing; quit being so juvenile & quit being so naive. Floyd Mayweather, the boxer….R.I.P.
