Yeah, I mean, he got a title, had the surgery he needed plus some rest, and then got the rust off against Mayorga in a fairly entertaining bout.

Im not a big fan of his by any means, but his career still has some life left. If he can beat Margo (I hope he destroys him), he will be in line for at least one more big fight.

He makes any division he's in more interesting. Fights against P Williams, Angulo, Cintron, Martinez, Alvarez, etc. would be big for him, whether he wins or not.

He'll go where the money is whether its at 147 or 154. He's just a guy who is trying to make fights & i can see him jumping between the 2 similar to the way Mosley does. It's not like he's trying to be the king at 154. He's just trying to make some money

I can see that. And there is money for him to be made too.

I'd watch Cotto / Ortiz at 147, but there would be something disturbing about a vet like Cotto going down in weight to challenge the new kid who hasn't made his bones quite yet. Still, I think it would be a pretty entertaining scrap. A jmw Cotto / Angulo sounds like a good time as well.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Either one of those fights produce fireworks, and would be good for the sport.

Because Bob Arum got him an easy title shot.

Margo is just about done. 154 is not his best weight, and he has taken some serious punishment. Plus, without the handwraps, he hasnt been as successful.

Cotto will take him this time.

cotto made 146 for clottey and 145 for pac, he said he's willing to go back down to 147 if pacquiao or any of the big names want him.

For that third title and unavailability of marketable opponent. It was because of money most likely.

Maybe he couldn't make the weight anymore, and the fight against Pac was at a catch weight, 143lbs I believe so who knows, he look comfortable at 154.

100% agree with that statement. He should have stayed at 147 and he should go back there as soon as possible. U got a berto fight that could get made, ortiz needs a dance partner, even floyds out shopping for a "tune up". I don't call cotto a "tune up" but I think he'd be the next in line, I don't think floyds wants to fight ortiz and I don't see berto's people feeding him to mayweather after what ortiz did to him.

143? It was 145 and he made weight fine. When he fought clottey he weighed 146. He's a 147 pounder and he should move back down. He's too small for the big boys at 154.
