Do not try and praise Audley, he will turn on you and correct you within minutes.

Last time I compliment him, LESSON LEARNED.

50k viewers for the last placed fights nights on ss2/3 shocking that changing from SS1 makes such a massive difference to the viewing figures though i suspect that is a combination of poor headlining cards and a switch from SS1.

What is worrying is the fact boxing on a sat night at 7-8 9-10 isnt charting at all the figures still maybe decent but I hope we arent going to fall between two stools of not getting high enough SS1 so it is moved to SS2/3 and the sport loses an even bigger platform.

Too be frank the figures are pathetic, they where less then what some PGA Golf and WWE programming was getting on the same platform and only a little above greyhound racing. It won't be long before all Boxing is on Sky Sports 2/3 it clearly isn't registering on Sky Sports 1.

If Sky put a little 5 minute show about James DeGail, Frankie Gavin, Matt Hatton, Ricky Burns ect around the schedule then loads of people would see these and get interested in the fighters. As somebody said, us lot will tune into boxing at anytime if its good enough but casuals will only make the effort if they know the fighters. Before the Bob Ajisafe fight Sky had a promo for Bellew but it was on the ****ing boxing shows. If it was on after an Everton game it would of made a much bigger impact.

I don't think Hatton V's Pacquaio has been on Sky Sports Gold or whatever it its called. They should show that before he fights Mosley.

no boxing for 7-8 weeks in the summer though.

its not just sport its up agaisnt. x factor. btg etc.

keep saturdays for world title fights and major cards, ppvs etc.

stick boxing on a thursday night all it goes up against in uefa cup.

the move to saturday nights was supposed to create higher ratings and better quality of shows as the promoters felt they could get more fans in etc....neither has happend.

Thats all god and all but there is a reason it is done at the weekend and that is because they wont be able to draw the same sort of crowd on a Thurs.

This is a spectator sport after all people wont travel large distances, People dont want to drink on Thursdays because they are in work the next day so it hits sales at the bar. It has a knock on effect
