If you order it through your sky box (i.e. not by phone or online), you can Sky+ them.

Apparently Froch v Johnson is all signed to be on Sky according to The Times.

Froch said in an interview the other day that he's more than 90% certain it will be on SKY. :good

Just to correct the OP, Primetime have not shown any UFC events. ESPN have exclusive rights over here.

I think they're strategy is probably the right one to be honest - pick up what fights you can and just broadcast straight from the international feed. The outlay needed to add things like UK legs or original commentary really wouldn't be warranted by what they would earn back from extra buys.

Season Tickets are a good idea and to be fair its something they've done a lot of when they've had several events lined up. Don't believe that discount ppvs make much difference other than costing you revenue - people usually either want to or don't want to buy a ppv.

At the end of the day I don't think "becoming a player in boxing" is an investment that will make a quick return and don't see any desire from the people behind the channel to real throw that much time or resources behind it.

Interestingly, according to Bunce the owner of Primetime is also the controller of channel 5. That was really surprising to me.

And they couldn't use all those resources for a little exposure?

I think their current strategy has more longevity than the likes of Premier Sports. But, the real money in the PPV markets is hooking onto a household name.

Primetime TV havent spent a penny on building the likes of Khan and if they get presented with a solid opportunity from Goldenboy, surely this opportunity alone, would obligate them to review their current business model?

Potentially but i suspect when they had the Khan fight some of their coverage hiked up in those particular resources mentioned. Its probably not worth spending the money on advertising the outlay required wouldnt be worth it.

If Primetime did 70k for Khan they probably made a few hundred grand out of it which is not bad for a last ditch job ultimately. They are probably happy picking up a few of those a year and they will probably make a fair bit of money doing very little whilst not really contributing to the boxing community.
