Good lawyers have a way of pushing back and pushing back court dates for high paying clients.

Example: R. Kelly's statutory **** trial was pushed back almost 5 years for this reason or that.

There are loopholes and tactics available in the U.S. court system that allow this and actually make it commonplace.
