People (lawyers) like matters to continue so people forget what happened. Witnesses recollection of events fade a little and they usual contradict each other just enough for people to get off. At least that is the Theory!

His attorney asked for it to be postponed, probably so it wont conflict and they can focus on the Josie Harris case. Floyds obviously not gonna fight anytime close to when the trial is since he has to train not be in court.

If that's the case then training shouldn't be a problem because I'm sure his attorneys can have it postpone again and again to accomodate a fight.

This was the security guard case, the far lesser of the 2.

The bigger case has a court date on thursday. Thats the one to pay attention to.

they did this with the Roger Mayweather case. They prosecuation kept pushing it back because they didn't have enough evidence to get a conviction and were trying to buy time to build enough evidence. They only have one shot to do it right because of double jeopardy so it demands them to make sure to get a strong case

oki so they are hoping for floyd to mess up again and get more evidence?
But can can he fight with these cases running?, if he needs to wait till september before he can schedule a fight then he is going to be very rusty.

what is most likely to be the verdict in that case? Is there a possibility that he will actually do time?

Im sure he can fight with the cases happening. He can surely train, just a Roger Mayweather trained him during the delahoya fight while fighting the case with the zab judah brawl, eventhough they were different circumstances.
I think as soon as the main one is outta the way, which is this thursday, it will be easier to make the fight.

How many times will floyd keep asking for extensions? These delays are just adding to the fire of him ducking....

It clearly states in the article that Floyd's lawyer showed up on behalf of Floyd and requested an adjournment. Floyd and his lawyer requested it be pushed back. Not the judge.

o well I was wrong then. I was just stating before what happened in the Roger case. This shouldn't be that big of an issue though since it's the security guard one.

From my limited experience with our justice system, I can tell you that they do allow you to continue to work and earn a living, they just want travel restrictions and for you to notify them if you leave the state.

Most of the time defense attorneys are the ones pushing the dates back. Details get lost and memories get hazy over time. Plus, that's guaranteed time out of jail for their client and more time to work a plea bargain.

Basically, he could fight if he really wanted to. It's not like he's in court 8 hours a day or would be required to leave the state or country. Even if he did, he is such a high profile defendant that the liklihood of his running is remote, if not laughable.
