I know its another floyd pac thread, but I was interested to know peoples opinions. How damaging would it be? As it stands it looks to most observers that floyd is avoiding pac, who would be the toughtest fight of his career.

If he were to lose would the resume be picked apart, or would his career as a whole keep him in good company?

Good question I'm not sure. It depends on how he loses and the same with Manny. If it is a competitive fight it won't hurt either one too mcuh, it may even rise their stock

His legacy is based on that 0. Once that's gone, So is his legacy. His ducking of other legit WWs will be even more scrutinized.

He has more to lose than Pacquiao

Hold up wouldn't he then lose to the fighter of the DECADE who is in the form of his life.

He would have lost to a supposedly top 15 ATG.

Now if he beats pac then he would have beat the fighter of the DECADE who was in the form of his life.

He would have supposedly also beat a top 15 ATG.

yeah imagine Floyd losing by decision by a point or two and going into the 12th trying to KO Manny and walking him down and fighting him in the pocket and making it look like Mayweather vs Corley round 4

I don't think that could hurt him much

Depends on the manner of his defeat should he lose like Ripper11 said. I for one don't think if they fought and he lost he would lose badly. Even if he got stopped it would be late and he would make Pac eat some massive counters. That kind of battle or more likely should he lose, one where he loses a close decision but ultimately gets outworked (more likely) would see his stock rise in my opinion. Perhaps even a rematch and rubber match would be nice if they were good fights what the hell.

That would be nice. I love watching warrior Floyd fighting old school from the pocket. And being aggressive like against Mosley. Nice. :happy

me too, I think I'm just fantasying too much, but damn that'd be great to watch. But it wouldn't be the first time Floyd surprised us with a game plan :p

All depends on how he loses. If he lost a super competitive fight and showed heart in an action packed fight, i actually think his stock will rise a little. Now if he got KTFO and dominated, that will drop him considerably.

Just by Floyd fighting Manny his legacy is increased. He is not in his prime he has nothing to lose nobody will care about 39-0 or 39-1

It would ruin him, and he knows it

"I'm beter than sugar ray robinson, I'm better than Ali"

You can't say something like that and lose! His whole marketability is connected to the theme that he is undefeated.

There is too much risk in the fight for Floyd, that's why he's made up the whole blood doping rubbish as an excuse to hide from Pac.

He is so arrogant, he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he lost and he would be ridiculed forever by ever boxing fan around the world.

Its kind of like what happened to Prince Nassem, after the invincibility had gone, that was it. He had no-where to go. Yes he could have gone down/up in weight and fought other fighters but he spent his whole carrear saying !I ain't getting beat basically" and was immediatly ridiculed by boxing fans for getting beat. His personal life plumeted soon afterwards

Thats what would happend to FMJ, he can't risk a loss on his record. Best wait until Pac gets old or at least show a glimpse of vunrability before taking him on

If it did happen, I would be the happiest boxing fan of all time.

    I hate the arrogant s**t.

But he is a phenominal boxer, awsome skills and from a purly boxing perspective, a joy to watch.

He talks so much trash you have to tune into his bouts. But if he lost I would be extatic

But I don't think he ever will
