Can Choynski overcome the tremendous physical advantages for DeJohn, or is Mike just too big and powerful?

mikes just too unproven. charlie powell was the mark gastineau of his day, a football player/ boxer come journeyman. Its too poor a level. Mike dejohn was kind of like a white cleveland williams, he didnt quite reach the heights.

I don't see why not, seeing as Choynski beat other similarly mediocre HWs with the same advantages.

Choynski's problem was his none too sturdy chin ,and DeJohn could really whack with that hook.

Its a pity there is no ring film of Choynski. I have seen his 1910 sparring clips with Jeffries. Choynski by then must have been in his late 30's to early 40's. In that clip he showed excellent mobility and speed.

It was nothing like henry coopers left hook, dejohn couldnt knockout dick richardson.

my guess is choynski could emulate billy daniels.

billy daniels was 6'4 190lb. hardly a good comparison. DeJohn did have a thunderous left hook, right up there with henry cooper(who did he ever knockout?)
