It is supposed to represent the four nations yet the English team seem to get much more publicity than the other 3 nations .

For example Ireland won 5 gold medals at the recent tournament in Finland were England I think won 4 yet the headline in Boxing news was "English boxers dominate in Finland" and they barley mentioned that Ireland won 5 golds and beat 2 English lads in the finals .

I haven't renewed my subscription and I am mulling over weather to renew it or not ?

I'd presume most of their customers were English based on it being the largest of the 4 nations, and Ireland is to all intents and purposes a 'foreign' country so why should they focus on it more so than one of the home nations

Have a bit of respect man. The guy asked the question and you are calling him a '****'.

Funny thing is that I thought that Boxing News was a magazine that was supposed to cover the Four Nations.

God forbid, there was an Irish boxing magazine that stated that Irish boxers had dominated in Finland if England had won more medals, there would be crys of how biased the Irish are towards their boxers and how pathetic it is, by British posters:yep

Irish boxing is a 32 county sport. i.e. both Northern Ireland and the Republic compete as one team.

    :good

Ireland is Eire yes , but there is no north - south divide in Irish boxing it is one nation and they box as one team except for the commonwealth games .

Maybe he was using that occurance as an example of what generally happens in the magazine.

Afterall ALL the writers are from the southeast of England. He raises a valid question.
