It actually says a lot more about the state of boxing than anything else. It means Pacquiao has brought new fans to the sport. It's a bad thing because fans like us who get pissed that the new fans don't know **** about the history of the sport... Its a good thing because despite their lack of boxing knowledge, these are legit ticket buying, pay-per-view purchasing boxing fans who are helping to prove why the sport is so great.

You can't blame this on ignorant fans. Ignorant fans would be voting for Ali as well, seeing as how he's considerably more famous than SRR, and that's not the case here. I don't know why you *****s can't just accept the fact that Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter ever in the history of the sport. It's obvious to every knowledgeable boxing fan. Pacquiao would beat anybody that ever fought at 147 or below 9 times out of 10.
