So apparently, Zab and his team have made an offer to Juan Manuel Marquez for a fight this summer for Zab's 140 belt. HBO needs to make this happen!! The winner can fight Manny Pacquiao.

this should happen but the winner faces khan vs bradley winner, in the mean time pac fights ortiz and then fights the winner of this 'tournament' that would be perfect.

JMM and team have showed no interest in this fight.

"WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, who recently passed on a bout with Erik Morales and has also so far refused to sign off on a bout against IBF jr welterweight champion Zab Judah in July, may end up getting his wish to face"

Zab would be too fast and hit too hard for Marquez.

Interestingly enough, I could Marquez weathering an early storm to win most of the "championship" rounds and steal the bout.

Personally, I'd rathr see Judah vs Khan. I think Zab could spark Khan.

Marquez is not strong enough to hang with Judah. Judah would knock him out.

This would be an interesting fight. Marquez would have his problems with Judah's strength and speed, but he'll make it interesting.

Pacquaio was suppose to be too fast and strong for Marquez.

JMM is not a 140lb fighter. Never will be. Too small. 135 is a stretch for him.

Zab chin and stamina are horrible, Marquez by late TKO.

I think Marquez would go down once or twice in the fight then to come back late and knock the gassed chinny Judah out.

at this stage of his career, he deserves the biggest payday possible.

Both Judah & Pacquiao are too big for him - may as well cash out.

Its a good financial move. why risk fighting against a dangerous opponent (for the first half of the fight anyway) when he can fight a more dangerous one finish off a triliogy and earn alot more money doing so. If he had the IBF belt hes got a stronger position in negotiations BUT there is always the risk.
Better for his legacy, better for his bank balance.

That said i say Marquez late TKO with Marquez going down a few times in the early rounds. Easy to put down but hard to keep down.
